Oh, what a beautiful morning . . .
Oh, what a beautiful day . . .

Views from my window just now.

Morning, everyone and welcome to June.  It seems ridiculous but there's only around twenty-one days or so before the longest day of the year.  How can that be??

I'm continuing to have a lovely time.

Yesterday, I did the morning wake up session (exercise class) went for a walk, had a swim and then did an ad hoc stretching class that was supposed to be an 'intro to TikTok that was cancelled.  Lindsey and I turned up for it so stayed to do the stretching, just the two of us.  It was good.  Then we went to the Garden Bar to enjoy the quiz while enjoying out first drinks (it was late afternoon by then, to be fair).

One of the five lakes - well, big ponds really!
And another.  This one is part of the golf course and I can't help wondering how many golf balls have reached their end in its muddy depths!
One of the outside terraces, not that anyone was using it yesterday, what with the on-off showers and the chilly breeze.

The other thing I had time to do was the Craft activity, making a bag - or, rather, decorating a bag.  It was one of those cream cotton bags of the kind you can get in Hobbycraft and there were fabric pens and paints, stencils and bits and bobs and, while mine was definitely from the five year old school of art, it gave me a few ideas.
No, I'm not going to show it - it will probably end up as a laundry bag during my holidays/times away!

As  for the evening - well, I managed to stay awake for the show and I am very glad I did.  It was good.

Today, looking at the daily programme, I'm not going to be able to do everything I want to do.  I will probably go for the being active route though - there's Basic Ballet (don't laugh), Line Dancing and Dancersize, I'll probably fit in a walk as well and there's quizzes going on at random moments through the day, assuming I have the energy!
The evening show is Elton John songs to that should be enjoyable.

As for the food - well, let's just say I am holding it all together for breakfast and lunch . . .

This is the middle day of this short break and I've loved it all so far.  I'm used to holidaying single so it is really very pleasant to be with a group.  We do our own thing but meet up for meals as well as from time to time when we happen to cross paths (usually in the garden bar!)

Are you having a good week too?  I hope so.  Take care and stay happy.  xx

  1. Good to hear you are having such a great time! Years ago I did Keep Fit based on ballet, it was fantastic, found muscles I didn't know existed, but got very fit!

  2. For some reason my comments keep disappearing. That's a beautiful view you have, and it sounds like you have another busy day ahead. Don't forget your tutu! :)

    1. No barre, just the wall and anyway, I was more Dawn French than Darcey Bussell! :-)

  4. Good luck with the ballet! I tried one of the Goldster ballet exercise classes ... it was fun but also showed up just how unfit I am. What colour tutu are you wearing? xx

    1. It is doing just a very little bit to compensate for all the lovely food. And the lovely prosecco (with a shot of Archers) which cocktail I seem to have introduced to our group. xx

  7. Sounds wonderful. Lots of people I hear are taking ballet as an exercise routine. Though I think it is mostly Barre.

    God bless.

    1. Yes, it was. If you've ever watched World Ballet Day, it was very like the first little bit of that but using a wall instead of a barre, when needed. xx
