Oh, what a lovely night's sleep! It was cool enough to snuggle under the covers and warm enough to stop my feet getting cold. Wonderful.
And, as if that wasn't enough, I've woken to rain. Not loads, admittedly, but better than nothing at all and everything looks greener. Lovely!
I think my crochet tension must be very loose. Not only did I have to buy more duck egg blue for the border, I'm also down to the last scraps of cream and won't have enough for the one more round that is needed. Fortunately, I have cream upstairs. Not the same cream but that won't matter as it's a separate bit.
No harm done (I hope).
Today is busy.
Groove first and I'm driving there today, partly because it's wet and partly because I need to hurry back, freshen up, change and rush out again because I'm due in town for a demo of the new Thermomix TM7.
These demos used to be done in homes but now the local group of consultants has a little place where they can demo various things. Leonie will (I think) show the new machine, demo the new and changed features and then cook a meal which we can enjoy. I haven't seen Leonie for years so it will be nice to meet up again - she has always been 'my' Thermomix consultant.
Well, time is tight so I need to stop waffling and get going
Have a great day. xx
Have a great day. xx
I have seen (an email I think) that the designer apologised for an error in the pattern regarding the quantities. Nicky
ReplyDeleteYes, she did - that was regarding the duck egg. I'm only as tiny bit short on the cream - in fact, I might try it just to see. It's only one round and it's not that bad if I have to undo it. xx
DeleteThrow is looking magnificent! Such a clever design too as there is no top or bottom, no left or right. I couldn't see your special design feature so that'll remain an understanding between any deity and you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the thermomix demo and catching up with Leonie. xx
It is clever, yes, and the way the trellis develops as the squares are joined is clever. I'm glad you couldn't see the design feature of belief although once seen, always remembered! - x
DeleteBlanket is gorgeous-well done! Catriona
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catriona. I'm enjoying the making. xx
DeleteThe blanket is lovely, and you would have to point out the mistake to me as I really cannot see anything wrong with it. So it is between you and the perfection gods. Enjoy your Thermomix demonstration and lunch. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear it, thanks. And I had a lovely time, thank you. :-) xx
DeleteYour blanket is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. xx
DeleteYour blanket is so beautiful, Joy. And such a gorgeous colour. You are incredibly talented. Xx
ReplyDeleteI'm quite good at following a pattern and this lady, Anita, often provides a video tutorial too which makes everything quite clear. Actually, at £6.50, the pattern and videos are well worth it.
DeleteI'll post a link to her site in the upcoming blog so you can see some of her other creations, if interested. xx
In Indigenous crafts such as beading etc you put in a mistake as only the Creator is perfect.
ReplyDeleteYes! It's a nice idea. xx
DeleteI always have one mistake (probably more) in my crafts as like Marjorie says there is only one perfect being. I think the throw is beautiful and perfect the way it is.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm very satisfied with it. Thanks, Jackie. I'm on the last lap now. xx
DeleteThe crochet blanket looks stunning, Joy.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's nearly finished now. xx
