Tuesday

Good morning.
More changes, eh?  I stopped all tuition last night (shame I'd planned a session before hearing the new rules, darn it) and Lindsey is now delivering my personal training online.  I've sent her a photo of the equipment I have.  It looks a bit feeble but she says it's fine.

Yesterday went fine.  I now have a complete and working back gate again (thanks, Jeff) and tuition was good.
After tuition, I went on to YouTube to find the Joe Wicks PE half hour and enjoyed it very much indeed.  I'm sure I will be able to keep up with this every day, Monday to Friday.  Come the warmer weather, I could even do it in the garden, couldn't I?
By the time I was able to sit down and relax, it was half way through the afternoon so I got the paper pattern for the skirt cut out but no further.  I can carry on with that today.  In a way, I don't want to go ahead with it too quickly; I want it to spread out and take time.
I got the sock finished so that's another pair done.  Maybe the new yarn will come today, fingers crossed.

Also, I have got round to ordering the tomato plants plus some strawberry plants (the strawberry bed is looking a bit thin) so if I can't get to the allotment (likely), I will still have a bit of produce and I always plant runner beans in the garden too.

So - on to today.
I am hoping to:
do the Joe Wicks PE lesson
wipe over everything
get the skirt cut out
start a new sock
watch more of The Crown
I want to see if Morrisons has any eggs - I'm getting short of eggs.  Life will go on without them but it would be handy to have a few more.  Hopefully, that counts as necessary grocery shopping.
I'm hoping Jennifer will do an online SW meeting this morning - that's when the 'real' group would be.  I'll be there, if she does, that's for sure.

Have a good day as you get used to a new way of living, whatever you have planned.  xx

  1. Morning Joy. I think planning things to do is key. We've got plenty of food in but I'm actually quite looking forward to seeing what I can come up with for meals as I start to run out of things! It's certainly a new and strange world we're living in. I'm glad it's not winter though, that would make it harder if we couldn't get out in the garden. Hope you find some eggs. xx

    1. Thanks, Sooze. We can go out for necessary grocery shopping (thank goodness) but obviously one wouldn't want to all that often - I wouldn't, anyway!
      |Enjoy the challenge. I think I will. xx

  2. Nice array of fitness bits been there that. I listened to Joe Wicks but found his commentary really irritating but I think it is perfect for kids who are at home and bored. My neighbour has had hers out washing the car for entertainment now that is a good idea!!!

    1. I agree, it is irritating, but the actual exercises are really good. I feel I've had a proper good workout, at my level, when it's finished, not to mention the sense of being part of something really big.

  3. I'll use my last egg today so will be without for a while but that'll make it even more enjoyable when I get some more in a couple of weeks.

It's good to see you have plenty to keep you occupied ... boredom will make the confinement to home even more difficult.

Re. the tuition - could you carry on via Zoom or Skype?

    1. I've never used either so I'm really not sure. I have said to 'my parents' that if there are any problems or questions about the work the school is setting, to get in touch online and maybe I can help.
A good point about eggs, thank you.

    1. Distancing is going fine right now - it's more missing the freedom to go where I want, but that's just being selfish really.
I'm glad food is holding out for you.

  5. It sounds like you are managing your time well. It's good to have some structure to our days.
I visited the supermarket this morning for a few essentials and found it to be quite well stocked, aside from pasta, rice and flour. Hopefully, we should be OK for eggs as a local farm has an open barn where you can help yourself and there is an honesty box for payment. X

    1. How wonderful - almost I am jealous! :-)
I won't need to go to the shops for some days, as long as I'm careful - which I will be.

  6. i learned the other day that fresh eggs could be frozen. I didn’t know that. I plan to get more eggs next time when I go to the store, and freeze some. You have to break it and either separate yolk and white, or freeze it mixed, so it’s not the same. But I’d like to try and see.

    Stay safe, Joy.

    1. Yes, they can - it's definitely something worth trying if you're able to get any. I don't understand the lack of eggs - after all, hens don't stop laying!
