Sunday

Good morning, everyone.  Pinch and punch for the first of the month and white rabbits!!  Where is the time going - we're already one sixth of the way through the year . . .

I'm doing the usual thing here at Dad's - in bed, electric blanket on to keep my tootsies warm, coffee beside me, tapping away on the old laptop like there's no tomorrow.  A really pleasant start to the day!

It was a good drive over yesterday, despite the rain and a bit of flooded road.  Being Saturday morning and so wet, there really wasn't much traffic on the road, there were no road works hold ups which is unusual and by the time I got here the sun was fighting to come out.

It was a really lovely afternoon, sunny and breezy.  Just what was needed.

In the evening, Dad and I went off to the Millstream to enjoy a meal together.  I know I go on about my poor old teef but one good thing - I can't chew very fast or very well so it's really slowed down my eating and I tend to feel full before I've finished the plate of food.  No complaints there!

Today looks like being a pretty quiet day too.  Dad's off to church and I will pop to Tesco to get a few bits and bobs for the evening meal and then, maybe, to Bickerdikes to see if there's anything interesting.  I have my knitting and I have my kindle - what more could a girl want, eh?

Have a lovely and peaceful day.  xx

  2. I'm glad you had a safe journey. The winds are supposed to ease off here shortly, although I've been awake since 5am with the noise.
I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable day. X

  5. It takes a while for the brain to register that the stomach is full so eating slowly is definitely a good thing! Have a safe drive home.
