Morning again, everyone. It's Friday already; where is the time going? Yesterday turned out to be a lovely, sunshiney day, quite mild in the afternoon, and this morning is not quite as cold as yesterday morning.
Everything went according to plan yesterday. I had a lovely chat with Chris, SET class was good fun, the replacement dust filter arrived and fitted perfectly so the old, broken one is now in the bin and I booked a lunchtime table in Prezzo for next week because Alex (grandson) and I are meeting up in town and having lunch together.
When I ventured into the box room I found two more bags of yarn - eeeeek - so they are now sorted and the yarn is where it should be. It's going to take me years to use it all up - I must see if I can offload some of it somewhere local.
I did a little bit of shed - not much but every little helps.
And I finally got round to making first arrangements for this garden room and a few other improvements I have planned. The cost has gone up, of course, and it probably won't be done until the end of the year, but that's OK. It is now officially in the pipeline.
Today, as every Friday, starts with Slimming World which is always good fun. Then I have some time at home before Sharon comes to work her magic on my hair. Then there's a bit more time and the cleaners come. In those bits of time, I can do a little bit of shed, I think. The black bin is now empty so plenty of room for rubbish.
And that's today . . . should be good. I hope yours is pleasant too. Stay warm and content. xx
It's cold and dreary here this morning. We are about to take the dogs for a walk. It will only be for twenty minutes, as Gilbert (the puppy) is 16 weeks old and shouldn't do too much. Barry will take Roxy out for a longer walk later. Otherwise, I really must get on with the baby sampler for my latest great-granddaughter who arrived three weeks early. We shan't be seeing them very soon but I'd like to have it finished and framed before we meet Melia.
ReplyDeleteI can well understand that. Congratulations to you all.
DeleteIt fels so very old here. It's not really but there's a real chill in the air. x
Soooo cold and dreary here today but yesterday afternoon was beautiful so mustn't grumble!
ReplyDeleteHave been out to a knit and natter this morning but didn't knit or crochet as too busy......nattering :)
Alison in Wales x
I didn't really get properly warm until the evening. Still - warmer days are on the way!
DeleteNattering is a Good Thing!
xx
It's been cold here today, but at least it is dry.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't your school like some of the wool for their Knit and Natter group, assuming they still run that?
How exciting pressing the button to start the garden room work. I hope it all goes smoothly once the work actually starts.
Also hope you're pleased with your SW weigh in today. xx
I don't think they do - I haven't seen it on the list of clubs anyway. xx
DeleteIt has turned very cold again here. In fact, I drove home from work behind the gritter!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your garden room plans are moving on. I have several small house jobs to be completed, just as soon as I can arrange for trades people to call. It must feel good to know you have the wheels in motion, at least. X
Safest place to drive, I expect. Have you had any snow or was it a precaution? xx
DeleteI know we will be getting colder here once again, but I am enjoying the sunshine and lovely temperatures. So glad that your garden room plans are now moving forward.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you. It will be lovely when things brighten up again, won't it? Can't be long now. xx
DeleteI know what you mean about using the yarn or finding somewhere to take it. I have a bunch I need to find a new home for. I'd like it to go to somewhere that will use it rather than resell it.
ReplyDeleteWell, yes, exactly. I am sure inspiration will strike and at least it is now all organised and tidy! xx
