Friday

Morning, everyone.  No rain yet this morning but it's looking doubtful.  Fingers crossed!

Jackie and I were very lucky with the weather.  The sun shone and we had a really good chat in her beautiful garden.  It was all very pleasant, sociable and - well - lazy really!  Retirement is great!

Apart from that, it was just household chores really, nothing very exciting.

Today, the Main Event is a trip to Hyde Hall.  Just me, so I can wander and meander wherever I like and stay as long as I fancy.  I will take rain gear with me, just in case, but fingers will remain crossed.
Maybe I will get to spend my birthday tenner, although there are other places to look too.

And that's really about it.  No need to go watering today and it's too wet underfoot to strim and mow.  That's definitely on next week's list of chores.

This is short and sweet today!  Have a lovely time, whatever your plans.  xx

    1. It was drizzling here a bit earlier. I can cope with drizzle; what would stop me is a right downpour! Here's hoping . . .

  3. What is it with Fridays and rain, for the second time we were going to hold our KnitterNatter in one of the member's gardens but the weather has intervened yet again, so back to Zoom! :-( Our core group is small and although Zoom has been a godsend, we are all itching to be in each other's company again.

    1. So frustrating for you! A garden get-together would have been really lovely.

  4. I hope you get to have your day out, it's so good for the mind and soul isn't it to escape the four walls of home however briefly.

The rain held off long enough this morning for me to have a haircut on the patio, instead of in the kitchen which I only hoovered yesterday. Considering he's NEVER cut hair before Alan did a reasonable job with LOTS of instruction from me!!

    1. It was brilliant, thanks, Sue. No rain!
Well done, Alan. What a star! I'm waiting until next month when Sharon comes with just a fringe chop before then.
The kitchen floor will be absolutely covered with hair!!!

  5. My shopping just came and I'm part way through the cleaning of the living room. Hoovering will occur and then that's it. I am in work from next week until the end of term so this afternoon once my what stuff is complete I'm going to suit myself sewing and knitting

    1. At least you know now when your non-working times are. Better than a week by week thing.
      Have a fab weekend.
