Friday

Morning, everyone.  It looks rather more pleasant this morning and it doesn't feel quite so chilly either.  That's nice.

Yesterday's chat with Chris was very pleasant.  It's surprising how much natter one can exchange in an hour when one's mind is focused!!

Then Val arrived, bringing with her some bedding plants as a gift which was lovely.  I will get them in today.  On due time, we  set off for Writtle and Robyn's Nest where we enjoyed a thoroughly delicious lunch (and lots of chat) before wandering across the green to the church to have a nosey round.  They had some rather nice tea towels on sale, the picture being a painting of the church so we each bought one and made a donation (as you do).

Val stayed for a little bit longer before saying goodbye and I spent the rest of the day mopping up the residual ironing and other little tasks.

Today starts with Slimming World which I always look forward to.  It's lovely to see everyone and find out how things are going.  Then I have some bedding plants and a couple of lavender bushes to deal with.  The house is fairly cleaner-ready, which is nice.
The biggie is to get some paperwork sorted out though.  I really want to get that done and posted on/back.

Better get started.  Stay well, everyone, and have a lovely day.  xx

  2. We had a bit of frost this morning but it is looking quite promising for the rest of the day. You've made me think that I should tackle the ironing pile.. or even sort the spare room out. Both are looking pretty shocking.

    1. It's got colder as it's clouded over. I really wanted my gloves when I walked home from SW. Brrrr

It feels so good when those tasks are done - hold onto that. :-)

  3. It is beautiful and sunny here today. Perfect for getting all my washing dried, even if I am at work all day. X

    1. That's lovely. I'm envious. It's duller and chillier than it was first thing. No rain though - yet. xx

  4. It's been chilly here today though we haven't had any rain. I hope your SW weigh in was good and that the group leader is able to suggests a way to lick start the weight loss after she sees your weekly diary.

  6. Morning Joy! It looks like I can comment on my phone once more which is ideal as it’s how I mostly catch up on Blogland! Am getting up in a minute but as Jules said - it is cold and sunny up here and by cold I mean a proper slippers and dressing gown morning! Have a lovely morning at SW. I must get on with my blog and plan a huge catch up
    Post on both later!!!

    1. Oh, that's good. Do you know what the problem was?
I talk about dressing gown days too - I have three, a warm and fluffy one, a towelling one and a thin one and the temperature determines which I wear first thing.
I'm in the thin one at the moment but the really warm morning are no dressing gown days! :-)
Really looking forward to reading your blogs later. xx
