Good morning, everyone. It's another dull day; it's not actually raining right now but it has been.
First of all, for Chris, these are pigs in blankets.
They're lovely!
I had a list yesterday and I happily worked my way through the lot. It was a gentle and satisfying day and it makes today all that much easier.
I'm just back from Slimming World (not good results today but that's OK) and picking up my repeat prescription. Now I have to do a few more bits and bobs before I pack because I'm off to Dad's to meet brother John there. We're going to do some more sorting out and John's bringing his van to take some stuff home with him.
Because of that, I most likely won't be posting tomorrow but I'll be back on Sunday morning.
Have a super day. xx
You can't get good results every time, but it's good to keep trying. Hope you have a nice meet up with your brother, and it's good to get things accomplished isn't it. Have a great weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteNo, exactly, and I'm not worried in the least. It'll be gone by next week, for sure.
DeleteThanks very much. I'm not looking forward to being at Dad's but it will be nice to have John there.
xx
Is that bacon wrapped around the sausages? They do look delicious!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's as simple as that. Usually streaky bacon wrapped around chipolata sausages or cocktail sausages and then roasted. Really lovely! The nicer the bacon and sausages, the better the end product.

Thanks for that, Joy.
DeleteSafe travels. Good luck with the sorting. Nice to have this time with your brother.
ReplyDelete*Tried to submit this comment earlier today, but Blogger kept giving me the "Whoops" error message. An all too common issue these days.
Irritating, isn't it.
DeleteThanks, Mary.
xx
Lists are so helpful. I have been using my datebook again, and it is much easier to stay on track when I write things down...
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could manage without lists - half the stuff would never get done, I think.
DeleteThey really are extremely helpful.

Here in the states, I have always called hot dogs wrapped in triangular shaped biscuit dough and then baked "pigs in a blanket." Interesting how same names for foods can be prepared differently. I'm sure that your pigs in blankets are delicous!
ReplyDeleteYour pigs sound like whet we call sausage rolls in a way. Sausages with a wrapping of pastry.
