Tuesday

Good morning, one and all.  Welcome to terrific Tuesday!  Yes, it's still raining but we did have some sunshine yesterday between rainy times, the clouds are quite high this morning and it is so much milder.  All good.

The best news (for me) is that Beth's lateral flow test showed only the very faintest red line yesterday so she will probably be proper negative today.  She's still feeling rough but at least she can share the house with Alex again.  She's restricted herself to her bedroom and the bathroom only so it's all been very boring for her.
Fingers crossed for both a negative today and that she starts picking up physically and mentally again.

I did my bit of shopping yesterday, managing to get everything on my list.  Given the witterings about oil (is it just corn oil?), I was a bit naughty and bought an un-needed bottle of vegetable oil (what I always use normally) for the store cupboard.  I use so little oil, I'm now well supplied for the rest of the decade, I suspect!
Maybe that was silly, I don't know.

Circuits was great.  For the fist time in a month, I felt back to full strength and managed everything all the way through.  Balance is back again, not that it is ever amazing but it was better, and so was stamina!  Cheers.

Then I went to tuition where we worked areas of triangles and parallelograms and fascinating stuff like that, followed by some algebra and some comprehension.
And yes, we had a good time!

Today is my typically nothing-in-the-diary day so I'm probably going to have a swim this morning and get on with housework this afternoon.  Nice.
Is it raining your way too?  What plans do you have for today?  Have a happy one and stay safe.  xx

    1. It's a huge relief. I was worried because she has asthma and her breathing can be pretty bad when she has a bad cold. She has one of those oxi-test thingies and her oxygen levels have been OK throughout, thank goodness.
      Thanks, Sooze. xx

  2. Fingers crossed Beth gets that negative result! No plans yet, the weather is looking a bit iffy. Might pop down to the plot and harvest the last of my leeks. Or stay home and weed my raised bed as it's brown bin day tomorrow. Since I now pay an extra £35 per year to get it emptied fortnightly I make sure it gets filled up as much as I can!!

    1. Thanks.
Leeks - fresh pulled leeks - are just so lovely! Strikes me the brown bin is top of the list though - we don't have to pay - yet!

  4. I'm so glad Beth is getting better, what a relief with her asthma etc. I was surprised last week when my son came through, his second bout of Covid has left him permanently breathless after doing any physical exertion, such a difference from the man he was a year ago.

It sounds like your fitness is really good now, you've worked hard to get there, well done.

    1. I'm very sorry to read this, Sue. I do hope things get better over time for him.

It's nice to feel stronger again, it really is. AT my age it is not to be taken for granted.
      Thanks.

  5. It's great to hear that Beth is over the nastiest part of the nasty virus. The weather feels a bit cooler today and it's dull outside. Rain is forecast so it's an indoors day and really should go and fight the ironing pile. Finally managed to leave a comment on your other blog and If I hadn't already eaten I'd be having one of those omelettes for brekkie today

    1. We've had rain and we've had sun. What we haven't had is what I gather they have had in Scotland, which is snow, bless them.

  7. That's fantastic news about Beth, and also that you are starting to regain your strength as well.

We have bright sunshine today, a bit of wind but thankfully no rain. It's a bit warmer than it has been as well - I haven't need any heating today. xx
