Sunday

Good morning.  The temperature has dropped again, as has the wind, and we have a light frost.  It would be lovely if the day turned out to be fine and sunny after yesterday's rain.

What did I do yesterday?  Well, precious little, to be honest.  The weather didn't encourage one to go out and indoors I felt lethargic and a bit weary so I took it easy with a bit of exercise now and again, ringing the changes.  I put one load of washing in but didn't take it out again (does anyone else do that?) so I've just started it off on a quick wash this morning to freshen it up.  The rack is unfolded and ready and I do feel a bit more motivated this morning.

All being well, I rather fancy going out for a walk today, weather permitting.  I need some air to blow away those cobwebs.  Apart from that, by late afternoon I will have ironing so that will keep me busy in the evening and there's always more episodes of Voyager to enjoy while I iron.

It's short and sweet today because there's not a lot else going on really.  Maybe I can have a chat with Beth this afternoon in lieu of out usual Sunday get together.  We'll see.

Take care and have a pleasant Sunday.  What are your plans for today?  Anything nice?

xx

  1. Oh yes, many a time I have to use the rinse and spin cycle to freshen up a forgotten load!

  2. Have just noticed it's now sleeting here....rain forecast so it won't settle, thankfully. Husband's got his covid jab this afternoon - yippee! Xx

    1. Not great news about the sleet/rain but fantastic about the covid jab. Brilliant! I've heard nothing yet.

  3. We're forecast snow this afternoon, so I do hope they've got that wrong.

I have an online genealogy chat for 15 minutes this afternoon and a Tesco delivery later on but they are my only firm plans for today. I think it's a day for reading and catching up with TV.

    1. I've checked again and it says light rain this evening. That figures as it is clouding over now and the sun has gone.
      Your day sounds lovely. xx

  4. Sometimes during the winter it feels good just to stay in and keep warm.

    1. It really does, especially when it is dull and gloomy as well as cold and damp.

  5. Gale force winds again today here. I was tempted to just stay in warm and cosy too but it is Sunday and Sunday morning is our day to go out to the mountains or beach. As we couldn't leave the city because of lockdown we thought we'd go to the city beach but we were turned back by the police as it was closed as of yesterday due to the mass of people flocking to that beach and not respecting the restrictions . We therefore went to the castle for a stroll around the park there. We got plenty of fresh air up there :-) keep well Amanda x

    1. It's good to know the police are monitoring things and taking action. I'm glad you found somewhere to have your walk.

  6. Oh, my word, that's so cold! Makes out '#just around freezing' look pretty puny, doesn't it?

  7. I'm having a put it away day today as tomorrow my decorator is coming to do my hall. Every room in my bungalow is off the hall so we will be dancing round each other all week. Not looking forward to the mess so I have moved pictures, mirror but can't take down the light shades as I don't get up steps now. Then I'm having a lazy afternoon on one settee whilst Poppy does the same on the other.

    1. That will be quite an upheaval but worth it when it's done, I'm sure. The decorator can take down the shades.
      Enjoy your lazy afternoon. :-)

  8. So far, I am enjoying a quiet Sunday. We had snow and ice yesterday and the sun is now coming out and things seem to be melting. Yes, I do sometimes put laundry in and then become too "tired" to put it in the dryer and have to wash it again. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one as I always feel a little guilty doing that, so you have made me feel better, Joy! I hope the rest of your day is lovely.

    1. < chuckle > I don't do it nearly as much as I used to but there are still times . . . and, yes, there's that slight feeling of guilt, isn't there. :-)
Yopur weather sounds love3ly - long may it continue.

  9. I cycled this morning, it was somewhat "fresh" but the sun was shining so all was well.

    1. It was chilly, wasn't it? Once the rain came it warmed up somewhat though. I'm glad you enjoyed your cycle.

  10. I hope your Sunday went well, Joy.

I spent the day mainly grading and making assignments. Overall a quiet day. :)

    1. I sympathise - I well remember the days when the whole weekend was taken up with school work - planning, marking, assessment, making resources . . . I miss the time with the children but I truly don't miss the workload.
