06-01-25 and the Twelfth (and last) Day of Christmas

Morning, everyone.  After the overnight snow yesterday, the weather was horrible all day.  It wasn't cold but the rain lashed down all day and my plans for getting the boxes of decorations out to the garage went to the wall.  Ditto with swapping round the cushions, china, etc.
No problem, the boxes can sit in the corner for now and I won't be eating off the carpet!

There was another issues which was that my back is playing up again so that sort of lifting isn't really a good idea at the moment.

When I came down this morning, the house smelled amazing - I have had a chilli in the slow cooker and now I have five meals - one for tomorrow and the others in the freezer - to enjoy with rice, pasta, potato, bulgur wheat, etc.  Yummy!

Catriona, that Sew You Can initiative looks absolutely amazing.  I'd be on some of those courses like a shot if I could.

OK, so it is the last Day of Christmas and it's a lovely bar of soap in one of my favourite fragrances - lavender.
Here's the whole song - feel free to join in!

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas
I gave unto myself
one bar of soap
three fizzing bath bombs
fragranced bath soak
one scented candle
shower gel
two fancy nail files
under eye patches
Jo Malone freebies
one steam presser
one cross stitch kit
one reed diffuser . . . . . . . . . .  <--- this is the five gold rings bit
two crochet books
two bits of puzzle
one coffee pod
and a chocolate liqueur . . .

Phew! and LOL
(Reading the above, anyone would think I have a body hygiene problem - I promise you I don't, I just like nice smellies)

Finished!!

I've enjoyed this puzzle so much, I have gone online and ordered a couple more  but, before you all mutter 'Low spend month', one is for Beth and they are just sitting in my basket until February, given that they are a want, not a need.  They may sell out - I will take that risk.

It's not that cold outside this morning but it is still raining, drizzling really.  Not nice.

Circuits starts again this morning.  I am going but I will be very careful.  I think I need to move a bit and stretch out.  The rest of the day will, I hope, be spent dismantling the Christmas tree - this makes me very sad but it has to be done, doesn't it?  Also, weather permitting, putting away the other festive stuff and getting in the everyday stuff.
Then it's a good old bout of housework downstairs as usual on a Monday.  Has to be done once the tree is down and the decorations away, doesn't it?

Have a good day, one and all, wherever you are and regardless of sunshine, rain or snow.  Take care and be safe.  xx

    1. I do that too - at the start of November (in my diary), I have written 'start reverse advent for food bank' so in December I can donate festive stuff in time for Christmas. xx

    1. I can cope with small bits at a time, especially when there's numbers on the back to show me which way up they should go. lol
