Sunday

Today's garden happy.  I only have one ornamental grass in the garden and this is its best time, just as the flower heads open.  The tomatoes behind don't look too bad either, do they?

Good morning and a happy Sunday to you.  The sun is shining and it all looks very cheering outside.

Yesterday was one of those easy, gentle days.  I had my walk but on my own rather than with the group (as it had been cancelled) and stopped off at the coffee shop as usual.
It's hard to believe quite how close this is to the hustle and bustle of  the town centre.

There was a lot of washing in the basket - where does it all come from?  I did three loads, dried it all and ironed it.  The fourth load did overnight and shortly I am going to peg it all out to catch the morning freshness.

And really, that was about it yesterday.

Today is much the same.  I'm going for a swim when the pool opens at eight and then I will potter and plan for the rest of the day.  I might go somewhere for a gentle walk at some point during the day - I've often said I would go back to Galleywood Common some time and that's only across town.
We will see.
And I forgot to feed the veg yesterday so I must do that today.

Have a lovely Sunday, one and all.  If you have sunshine, enjoy it, and, if it's raining, I'm sure the garden will be happy!
Take care and be safe.
xx

Have a great day, everyone.

  1. We are so lucky in our city, we have a beautiful walk along the river into town with a free car park at one end. deb from essex

    1. Hi, Deb! We really are. I'm often surprised the car park isn't more full, to be honest. It really is a pleasant walk and, however busy, always seems 'country'.

  3. That’s a fabulous photo of your grasses with your very healthy looking tomato plants. I’m doing a million steps over July, August and September to support a friend who is doing the same for Diabetes UK as she has Type 1 and is sometimes quite poorly. It means around 11 000 steps a day so I need to get moving. Catriona

    1. It is absolutely brilliant. I wonder why I was so worried that I would be bored and have nothing to do! xx

    1. Thanks, Sooze. It *is* looking quite nice at the moment. It's that lovely, green time before things start shrivelling a bit as the harvests come in. I'm sure yours is looking rather lovely too. xx

  6. That does look like a lovely little oasis of calm in the town centre, anywhere with water is soothing to the soul isn't it. We went to Morecambe for a couple of hours with the dogs on Saturday. We simply sat and had a coffee on the prom and watched the world and his sister go by, even the dogs seem to like to people and dog watch these days ... the beauty of owning older dogs I guess.

    1. It really is. I could sit, watch and listen to moving water for hours - waves, fountains - anything really. It's calming and restful or it can be exciting and exhilarating. Your trip to Morecambe sounds lovely - it was a beautiful day, wasn't it? xx
