Blogmas, day 9

Good morning, everyone.  Thank goodness the rough weather seems to have settled now and there might even be some pleasant weather at some point.  Wouldn't that be nice?

I stirred my stumps yesterday and got things done.  I'm now ready for my guest for lunch today and I feel so much better mentally as well as physically.

The Strictly elimination wasn't a surprise and, my goodness, what a semi-final it was.  I'm so looking forward to next Saturday's final now and must remember it starts earlier than usual.  I think a bit of alcohol might be on the cards as I watch.  😉

When I  slotted that naughty hearing aid into the charger last night, to my great delight, it lit up red (meaning it was charging) and this morning it was green like the other one, meaning it was fully changed.
I still have no idea why it started defaulting but let's not worry for now anyway!

Moving on to the advent calendars.

The M&S one gave me another hair product (I'm good with those and will use them), this time a 'colour security shampoo'.  I have no idea what makes it different from an ordinary shampoo, something to do with keeping coloured hair bright because there's no residue after rinsing but it's not going to hurt on any kind of hair, even the boringly non-coloured kind, is it?

I did today's puzzle but forgot to take a photo before rolling it up.  Sorry!

The Advent of Change today is a goodie.
Today you could have saved a life, by purchasing a blood-giving set, enabling air ambulance crews to administer emergency blood transfusions.
Wow!

Today starts with circuits and then I am driving over to pick Diane up and bring her back for lunch and a really good natter about all sorts of stuff.  I was hoping to get her a nice Christmas present at the market yesterday from one of the artisan stalls that were bound to be there.  Oh, well - there's time to find something else, I am sure.

Well, better get going; there's a lot to do and limited time in which to do it.  Have a great day, everyone.  Don't spend too much.  😉

I dearly love acapella singing and this is one of my favourites.  In The First Light, performed by Glad.

It's a pretty old recording now but I love it.

I'm glad your hearing aid seems to be charging okay now. Xx

The aid was fine again last night. I'm very relieved. :-) xx

  2. I had a little panic when I saw your reindeer calendar, for a minute I confused it with with Angie's 'countdown to Christmas' one and thought there were only 9 days to go!!

    1. Ooops! I guess it could be used either way but that would totally confuse me unless I moved it away from the calendars! :-) xx

  3. I hope you and Diane had a lovely catch up over lunch. Pity about the artisan stalls not being there - the artisan craft shop I was hoping to go to today to get some gifts was closed! I'll have to go another day (after first checking the website to make sure they're open! Which is what I should have done first....). xx

    1. Yes, it was lovely, thanks.
WHat a shame your place was closed. That's quite unusual, isn't it? Although if it is an individually run place, maybe they need two days away from work per week and if they open Saturdays . . .
Good luck with the next try. xx

  4. I went for top up food shopping today and could not believe how busy the shop was! I was able to get some little gifts too so that made the journey out more bearable. Hope lunch went well. Catriona

    1. It is more satisfying if you can kill two birds at a time, isn't it? (by the way, what an odd saying that is nowadays!)
      Lunch was great, thanks. xx

  5. Went shopping today, made a decision not to do one thing for Christmas, worked on my knitting. Just a simple day here.

    God bless.
