Saturday evening, 20-04-24

Good evening, everyone.  It's been quite pleasant weather today with only a little rain and plenty of sunshine.  Now, if it would just warm up a little bit . . .

We had a bit of excitement this morning.  There was an awful lot of noise and when I popped my head out to investigate, this had landed in the field over the road.  An Essex Air Ambulance.

I never did find out why and, anyway, none of my business, but I hope everyone was OK.

The walk was lovely.  OK, a bit muddy underfoot but not as bad as it could have been and when the sun came out, it was gorgeous.

A few photos.

We stopped off at the Writtle Tea Rooms for a very nice cup of coffee (or whatever) before parting company.  By the time I got home, the ambulance had gone.

I've done the ironing, some cooking, some meal planning and managed to find time for an afternoon snooze.  Very nice too!

How has your day been?  Good weather?
Have a lovely evening and sleep well.  xx

  1. It's hardly ever possible to learn the details of such events as an air ambulance landing. One landed in my grandson's school grounds last year and we never did find out what had happened.

    1. I think that's fair enough - it really is a private thing, or should be. Humans are just insatiably curious, like the Elephant's Child! :-)

  4. Glad you enjoyed your walk. We were just saying yesterday that we need to make an effort again to walk each day but the lurgy has left us both so exhausted. Catriona

    1. These bugs can be totally debilitating, can't they? It's a fine line between pushing on through and resting up - and I reckon that if in doubt, do now't! In other words - take it carefully and gently.
I hope some energy returns soon. xx

    1. Yes, it really is - just human nature. We are a curious, inquisitive species.
It's been nice here too - just a bit cold. I'm still grateful for my oodie. xx
