. . . and it's another icy, misty morning with frosty transformation into utter beauty. Walking to school will be lovely! Cold, but lovely!
And then there's the accident book and a report to give. I do feel much better again this morning with discomfort only in the arm that seemed to 'click out' of joint a little bit. Goodness knows what happened, I have no medical knowledge, but I'm glad that it clicked 'in' again.
Today is another nice day - music assembly, rehearsal, hand and foot reindeer, PPA and reading partners. The children will love it. Also due in today are their entries for the Great Year One Make A Christmas Tree Decoration Competition. Should be loadsa fun, very colourful and their creations will be ingenious and blingy!
Go carefully on the icy pavements!

Tuesday evening again
Tuesday evening
. . . and I'm about to have a right pity party whinge. I don't often whine, but I'm feeling very shaken up at the moment. So if you want to stop reading right now, no problems!
I went to dance exercise after school today. As always, it was great and we'd all got Charlotte a bottle, some flowers and a card, which she was chuffed about. We did the warm up, some rotational stuff and then started working on the salsa dance thingy which has been the focus this term. We'd just started the final performance which Charlotte was filming on her mobile phone when - well, all I remember is that I slipped, landed on my sit-upon, put my arm down and something twisted. And that was me, flat on my back, couldn't move. I think it gave the others a terrible shock, I just couldn't move my left arm in particular, or sit up and it felt as if something was out of joint. Not nice and so very embarrassing, as everyone gathered round me looking (and probably feeling) very worried. I'm not sure how long I was lying there. I asked someone to help me up and they wouldn't (very sensible of them really) and then I sort of tried to move my left arm, something clicked (ouch) and I could move again. Really very, very weird and pretty painful. So now I'm achey, a very sore arm, a painful bum and twinges shooting up and down my legs and arms. I will take some ibuprofen before I go to bed, that will help, but tomorrow I will have to fill in the accident book and that will make a fuss and bother. So it's whinge, whinge, whinge, very sorry!
Apart from that it's been a super day! :0)

Tuesday morning
Last week this time I was looking out of the window wondering about school and whether it would be on. It was and it lasted until eleven thirty, if you recall, and then it was a second half term for the rest of the week.
Looking out now, it's bitterly cold but the freezing fog of earlier seems to have cleared leaving a fairy-tale, sparkly work under the street lights. No way am I even going to think about scraping my car this morning. It would take for ever!
But school is definitely ON! And we're well into the Christmas festivities. The paper chains are made, the children will be meeting Mike and his Christmas tree today, there's a rehearsal scheduled, hand and feet reindeer are planned, followed by kneeling angels . . .
It's all go!!
And my new washing machine is super-dooper!

Monday evening
My goodness, it's been cold today. I walked to school, was on morning playground duty, went out at luch time with a sad child in my class, was on afternoon playground duty and walked home and believe me, it didn't get even nearly up to freezing point all day. Freezing mist kept the trees looking absolutely beautiful all day and I was so annoyed with myself for leaving my camera at home, but I got so bone chilled . . . it was good to get home and turn up the heating.
It's been a day of rushing around, getting stuff organised, sorting out timetables, writing letters about date changes . . . again, it's nice to be home and only to have the ironing to face.

Monday morning
Back to school this morning, yay! The planning's all ready as are the resources. My head's buzzing with rehearsal times, walk throughs, etc. It's going to be a pretty disconnected week, one way and another, but who cares - at least we're back at school.
My washing pile has diminished considerably. I like my new machine. It's a lot easier to programme and seems to do a grand job. It's quieter too. It makes me realise quite how 'old' the last one was. In its time it was a jolly good machine, but these things deteriorate without one realising, I think. I was having to do a really hot wash on my whites, but with this one I did a sixty degree wash and it's all come out shiny white and much more efficiently spun too. It's a cold water fill and I guess the start in cold water and the gradual heating is going to get a lot of stains out.
Having the family get together on Saturday was good for more than the obvious. Even though the living room looks a bit chaotic right now because of bringing the Christmas stuff in from the garage, basically all it needs is a tidy and a quick dust and sweep and it will be ready for Friday evening. Not too much work to do! Must sort out the menu and get the list made for the take-away.
In fact, I'm a bit ahead of myself at the moment so might get going now rather than waiting for tonight. Good idea!!
