Wednesday

Hello again, everyone.  As always, this week is speeding past in a 'blink and you miss it' sort of way.  The days are noticeably shorter and the mornings and evenings cooler, my warm clothes are now out and being used and meals are becoming more filling and warming again.

Yesterday was lovely.

There were still a lot of people missing from Groove, nearly all with these bugs that are going the rounds.  A shame because it was really good.  Fingers crossed we are getting the winter illnesses all over and done early.

I did a bit of housework (yes, housework!) before driving over to Diane's.  She took me out for lunch which was so lovely of her and we had the most delicious grains and greens salad with chargrilled chicken that was extremely virtuous as well as delicious.  And we talked.  Oh, how we talked!  And laughed.
So good.

Then it was home, James, before the roads got too crowded and I chilled with coffee and crochet.  Nice.
All of that with a nice online chat to an American friend in the evening, made for a very pleasant day indeed.

Today is a bit more complicated.

First of all, there's an online Groove and Chris is coming over to do it with me because we both have sessions to catch up on and Lindsey's policy is to encourage catchups to join any other class (unless there's no room and it's not online) at any time within that block.

Then I have a bit of time when I can dust and sweep the living room and get the meals sorted because after lunch it is solid stuff.

Firstly I am wearing my governor's hat to attend a basic phonics training for the new FS parents, phonics being one of my areas of responsibility.
I will take my fitness wear with me to change into because then I am straight off to Lindsey's for personal training.
Then it's back home to freshen up and glance through the paperwork before I'm out again for the Governors' Meeting.
I'll have dinner when I get home and it will just need reheating, that's all.

It'll work, it just feels a bit manic in the afternoon/evening.  And tomorrow is much easier.

Whether your day is busy or chilled, have a really good one, everybody, and take czare, stay safe and keep warm.  xx

  2. Your day sounds interesting, the school Governor work keeps you busy but you seem to enjoy it. Because we are new in this area I'm not volunteering for anything yet.........probably just a matter of time 😀

  3. Time is just whizzing by so ridiculously quickly isn't it, we're over a week into October already. Grains and greens sound delicious, which is weird as a few years ago I might have been horrified by that on a menu for lunch.

    1. I'm naturally very slapdash but I have learned that I need to impose some structure. My diary is my best friend; I'd be totally lost without it.

  5. I am always amazed at how quickly time goes by. I seem to plan more than I can actually accomplish. You do very well.

    God bless.

    1. I know exactly what you mean. Better to over plan than under plan, I think. xx
