Thursday evening instead of Friday morning.

I won't we able to post tomorrow morning so here I am early, just like the olden days!!

Today has been good.

After a great chat with Chris (and her grandson), I set off to Riverside, fingers crossed that there were parking spaces.  It was packed but I was lucky.
I tackled Home Bargains, the Costa loo (thanks, Costa), HomeSense and Matalan.  Then I went off to Longacres because I felt like seeing their Christmas stuff.

Did I get the wrapping paper, I was looking for . . .

Yes, I did, but it took some looking.
To be fair, I am a bit fussy about Christmas wrapping paper.  The cheaper, the better, but it has to be in my Christmas colours of red, green and/or gold, preferably red.  Tartan is perfect.

I got one roll in Home Bargains, one in HomeSense and two in Longacres and now I am all set up for several years to come.
Also, in HB I got a nice stash of reverse Advent food, in HS I got a couple of items for my Spode Christmas Tree collection and several quirky foody things for Dave and Anna and in Matalan I got . . .

. . . this.

Let's pull out a bit.

That's better!
No, I wasn't aiming to get a Christmas jumper but I really couldn't not, could I . . .
It will be perfect for Slimming World.

When I got home, I did some wrapping and dug out my Christmas book (see first photo) to start writing things down for this year.
As I said, half term is, and always has been, Christmas preparation week for me.

Then I settled down with my knitting/crochet.  I have four WIPs at the moment which is probably three too many but all the knitting is Christmas gifts and it is nice to change focus now and again.

I won't post tomorrow but I will be back on Saturday morning.
Sleep well and have a lovely day tomorrow.  xx

  4. No way could you turn that jumper down - it's perfect. Lovely name. You will get many wears out of that during December and January. From Ruth
