HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BETH.
(and Annabeth - it must be the name!!!)
Morning, everyone. A quicker one today, I hope.
The lunch out was lovely although I disgraced myself by arriving late and then throwing my phone under a bench (accidentally, I hasten to add). Not to worry, once that had all died down, I had a lovely time chatting with good friends over a nice lunch.
In my peripheral vision are two loaves, one sourdough and one yeasted, both super-healthy and sliced ready for Beth/Alex to chuck into the freezer.
I've been a busy bunny this morning.
I started another leaven overnight and the dough is now mixed for a loaf for my friend Diane who is coming round tomorrow for lunch.
I made some sushi from start to finish (it doesn't take that long really) to take over to Beth's for her birthday lunch. It has feta, carrot, pepper and spring onion with sriracha mayo so not traditional but fine for a vegetarian! It's still in two wrapped logs in the fridge - I will cut them just before I go over.
And one of the chicken crowns I bought on Friday is just finishing off in Nellie. I thought I'd do a roast dinner for me and Diane - we both live solo so a roast is a great and I can reheat the chicken.
Phew.
As you can imagine, the kitchen is a right mess. I'll go and sort that out after I've taken a break.
I'll be off to Beth's later, gifts in one hand and food in t'other. Note to self - don't forget the sausage rolls from the freezer!!!
Have a very happy Sunday, everyone. All the best and see you tomorrow! xx

I imagine your home smells amazing. All that delicious food!
