Wednesday

Morning, all.
While I'm thinking of it and before I forget, there (probably) won't be a blog post tomorrow and Friday might be a bit later than usual.  And this one is late because I had a rough night and am not feeling 100%

I've done some research and I don't think I will be short of things to do tomorrow - assuming I go..
There's . .
Mermaid Street (old, cobbled, southern version of the Shambles by the sound of it) plus Watchbell Lane/The Mint - more of the same and maybe less crowded
Rye Castle Museum/Ypres Tower - sadly, the East Street museum is only open at weekends - with a Medieval garden and the Women's Tower, whatever that might be
St Mary's Church
The Landgate (an ancient entry into Rye)
The market
Loads of interesting looking little shops
Art Galleries
The Mermaid Inn
Rye Heritage Centre
and probably other stuff I haven't come across yet.

Should be a good day but fingers crossed for helpful weather - the forecast isn't great!

Yesterday's lunch with Diane was really lovely and we had such a good old chat.   I'm taking today easy, resting up and working on feeling well tomorrow morning.
Here's hoping.

Have a great day.  xx

  1. I hope you'll be feeling more chipper tomorrow. It's years since I visited Rye, but I have fond memories of it. It's so pretty - or was!

    1. I'm good, thanks. Not so sure about the weather but at least if it does pour, there are plenty of places to shelter. xx

    1. For quite a small area, it looks really interesting and I have my list and street map all ready. The sort of place it's hard to get lost in, thank goodness. :-) And the camera is all charged up and ready to go! xx
