It was lovely to see Alex yesterday - he does enjoy my meals and scoffed down two portions of roast lamb dinner - where he puts it, I have no idea!
Going back a few hours, I did all the prep, got to B&Q and came back with paint (still in the car as it's very heavy), picked Alex up, took him home, did some ironing and cleared stuff ready for when Ray arrives tomorrow morning.
I didn't finish the blanket but am steadily double crocheting round and round and round. A bit mindless but keeps my hands busy.
Today, I won't be going to circuits and I really have no idea how the day will go, it depends on Ray, but I suspect decluttering opportunities upstairs, out of the way, will be many but I'll let you know.
Have a more exciting day than I expect to have. Stay warm. xx
I'm working outside all morning, but thankfully, the weather here is dry, at least. I'll definitely be layering up!
ReplyDeleteAlex clearly appreciates a tasty meal :)
Have a lovely day. Xx
Brrrr - but dry is good. It's just started drizzling here, I've moved the car up to the top so Ray can park in front of the house and I'm as ready as I am ever going to be, I think.
DeleteYes, he does. :-) xx
At least crocheting round and round and keeping your hands busy means that you end up with something very lovely to look and and very useful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a day in the kitchen for me, sorting through the food cupboard and seeing what I actually have in there and putting it all back in 'date to use up' order. Exciting eh!! :-)
Yes, I don't like to have idle hands.
DeleteWhat a thrilling day! You'll be glad you did it once it's done, mind you. xx
We are having the boiler moved from the loft while the new bathroom is being fitted probably some time in April. I am going to stay out of the way in the motorhome when it is being done! I shall take some hand crafting with me and hopefully the weather will be better then. What shades of paint did you choose for your makeover? Catriona
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea. I could escape to the garden room, I suppose.
DeleteI chose a shade called Pretty in Peach. I like it and it will be warm and cheerful. xx
I hope the decorating proceeds apace - it will be lovely to have fresh, clean paintwork.
ReplyDeleteIt really will. It is long overdue and I am so looking forward to fresh paintwork and all the bashed filled in and smooth again. xx
DeleteIt's been blimmin horrible here today, I'm so done with winter! Isn't it nice when someone enthusiastically eats up what you've cooked with love and then wants seconds. xx
ReplyDeleteYes, it is, it's really lovely!
DeleteTo be fair, we've not had a lot of rain but I've been running out and in with rubbish for the bin so I feel cold.
I'm having a good old clear-out, mind you, Feeling good about that. xx
