A random photo of some snowdrops from my front 'garden' (for want of a better word). They do look pretty.
And finally, finally, I have enough floor area to spread out that Persian tiled blanket thingy that I made after Christmas. Seeing it like this makes me realise how very attractive it is and there's so much going on that the blips don't show at all, do they? Nice.
I got quite a lot done on yesterday's gift day.
Chris and I walked to and back from Groove - it's a new block and I loved the new routines; they are dance-y and energetic. Great fun.

After breakfast, I went to B&Q to find some light bulbs which they didn't have and then to Longacres where I got the button for the cardigan I have been knitting so that is now completely finished too.
Then I went on to Beth's for coffee and a chat and I took her to pick up a prescription.
Then, in the afternoon, I set to and got quite a lot of stuff done at home. There was dust everywhere so that needed dealing with and I sorted out some glass doors from some units. They had some wood 'beading' down the middle which had come off, leaving a strip of sticky tape that wouldn't peel off. So I attacked the sticky with sticky stuff remover, heat from my hairdryer, the Home Bargains equivalent of a scrub daddy and, finally, window cleaner. There's just one more to do - it was left on the unit and covered over because it's the very last bit of decorating that needs doing, so I'll do that when the covers come off.
The ironing got done, the new drying rack arrived, the plants are back in place, I sorted out the curtain fixings and they are all in the new box . . . you get the idea. There's still a few outstanding things on the list but I can do them Thursday.
It will all be finished today. They have been great but it will be nice to get my living area back all clean and tidy. I have personal training this afternoon but apart from that, it will be sorting stuff as they finish.
And paying the bill - ouch!

Have a great day, one and all. xx
I think my snowdrop bulbs have been a squirrels dinner! Wow that Persian tiled blanket is gorgeous, well done.
ReplyDeleteFlippin' squirrels. They can be a right nuisance!!
DeleteAnd thank you. xx
Your blanket 'thingy' is absolutely beautiful. Truly a woolly work of art!!
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops are lovely aren't they, they promise us that Spring is on it's way.
Aw, thanks very much, Sue.
DeleteThey are delightful little flowers and, as you say, a promise of longer, brighter, warmer days to come. xx
Blanket is a thing of beauty! Put it where you can see and use it every day-too much effort to hide away. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI am really happy with it. I think it will be lovely in the garden room and I can see it from the house very clearly. xx
DeleteYour persian tile blanket is just gorgeous!! You will be delighted to have your living area back in order. I think you should pour a glass of wine and sit down and enjoy it!! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marilyn. I'm very pleased with what they have done and also so glad to get my space back. The wine will wait until Friday when Dave and Anna are over for a meal (and after weigh in). :-) xx

ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you, Jackie. I'm really very happy with them both! I need another project now - knitting or crochet, I mean. I have to have something for the evenings. I shall have to ponder this a bit. xx
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful Persian tile blanket, it'll look stunning in your garden room, complimented by cushions. Snowdrops are so cheerful and mood lifting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annabeth. I feel really happy that it is the right place for it. Visible and needed there as a good pop of colour. xx

ReplyDeleteThat's such a lovely thing to say but, in truth, I just followed instructions. Having said that, I am very happy with the results. xx
