Yesterday was nice and gentle. I made those loaves, did some washing, cooked, sort of tidied up and generally chilled.
Today starts with circuits at Shimmy Studio. Then, as it is Monday, it is housework day and I have two piles of washing to deal with plus ironing that I really should have done yesterday but didn't.
That should keep me out of mischief today!
That should keep me out of mischief today!
Thank you all very much for your kind comments yesterday - much appreciated.
Short and sweet today. Have a lovely Monday, everyone, and take care. xx
Think winter has arrived now and it’s a gloriously sunny day. I need to finish the tote bags I am making to give to my fried tomorrow. Was slightly held up yesterday as my sewing machine decided to be uncooperative! Enjoy your class. Catriona
ReplyDeleteWhat a nuisance - Is it OK again now? xx
DeleteAfter a beautifully clear night last night and with stars still visible in the sky this morning, today was the first day that I have had a thick and hard frost on my car windscreen. Thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere because I wasn't expecting it.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good housework day ... with lots of coffee breaks. :-)
Frost looks so very pretty, doesn't it? I'm on a coffee break right now. :-)
DeleteNo frost here but very cold first thing. A nice long walk in the bright sunshine with the dogs means I can feel justified not doing very much this afternoon 😆
ReplyDeleteAlison in Devon x
That sounds about right to me, Alison. I hope you enjoyed it. ;-) xx
DeleteThis time last year we were in the UK and we were frozen. Over here in Canada, it's a dry cold, over in the UK it's damp and it gets into these old bones now!!!! Monday is generally my housework day as well.
ReplyDeleteGood point. Cold can often be damp here, not nearly as nice as that bracing dry cold. xx
DeleteYou got a lot done! How wonderful! It is cold here in Montreal as well, but not as cold as it can get (-30 celsius. Yikes!) I just make sure I dress warmly. I much prefer the snow, which we are getting a lot of, as the temperature is always milder. When it gets frigid cold, there is no snow....but ice! And although I love snow, I am not a fan of ice, as it is pretty dangerous both for drivers and pedestrians.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not ice!! It's so easy to fall.
DeleteWe don't get it that often, not really bad ice, thankfully, but I bought some Yaktraks when I did the Northern Lights cruise and they made such a difference. If necessary, I will use them in the future. xx
Chilly here what with the wind. The snow has gone, but we are looking at freezing rain on Wednesday and that is something I hate.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Very nasty and very slippery. I do hope they got that wrong. xx
