Tuesday

Morning, all.  It's a funny old start to the day.  It's dry but, somehow, there's a strange light.  I guess it will brighten up later - hope so anyway.

It was good to get back to circuits yesterday and I got some housework done although not as much as I should have.
That's because Santa came a-visiting wearing his postman's uniform - OK, so an Amazon order arrived but it was mostly Christmas gifts which are now all wrapped up and sitting in the corner.  I somehow managed to order four little jars of pickled ginger (for the sushi) rather than the two I was expecting but never mind, it will keep and it won't be wasted.  Alex and I are making sushi this Friday . . .

. . . and nearer Christmas, we want to have a go at this - Christmas Tree pull apart bread using the Thermomix.
Looks fun, doesn't it?

I did some washing, did some ironing, all that good stuff, before sitting down and finishing one WIP (gift) and then working on the others.  The Quiet Skies blanket is taking a back seat for a few days while I work on the gifts.

Today is Groove and later I'm meeting Beth in town for lunch and she wants to do a bit of shopping.  I do love spending someone else's money.  When I get home, I will probably chill over a cuppa and my knitting.

All in all, quite a nice day.  How about you?  xxx

  1. It always feels good to make headway on the Christmas task list. I am still waiting for a free day to start...grocery shopping today for me.

  2. I have sunshine today with the temp at 9*C as I write at 9:15 a.m. Some housework needs to be done this morning, a walk this afternoon as it is still going to be a nice day. After my return, some sewing for the quilt top I am making for me. I have finished a confetti fabric picture, if you pop over to my blog later this week you will see it.

    1. Yes, I thought that too. It should be fun to make and enjoyed by us all. We'll probably cut the amounts down a bit but that won't be difficult to do. xx
