Tuesday

Good morning, everyone.
~I woke to some good news today, courtesy of Ernie.  Nothing more than 'small' winnings but between them they have paid for my Center Parcs holiday and some spending money.  Very nice too!

I think I got away lightly after last Thursday's PT because I am quite stiff after yesterday's circuits class.  It's Groove today so that should loosen me up nicely, I hope.  It was nice to be back though.

Apart from that, the day plodded on happily.  I made a loaf for Beth which came out beautifully,  I opened a new pack of yeast last week and I really notice the difference!  This morning I've started a sourdough leaven, again for Beth and Alex.  As Beth said, they have been having soup more often and you have to have good bread with soup.  I agree!  :-)
This makes me think - Thermione is great for making soup - another thing to do with Alex.

Today, Beth is over as she has an eye appointment at a local clinic which involves dilating her pupils so she can't drive home.  So she's parking here and trundling to and back from the clinic in her wheelchair and then staying here until her vision is OK again.
That will be nice - for me!

That is about it for today.  I have ironing which I will probably do while we are chatting and she will be here for lunch, of course.  I need to go to Marriages as I am pretty much out of wholemeal strong flour; Beth might like to come along for the drive.

Better go - I have to get ready for Groove and I hate a rush.  Have a lovely day, everyone.  Take care.  xx

  1. Congratulations on another little win, and it's perfect that it will cover the cost of your holiday. I've never won on Ernie, but then I own literally ONE ticket worth £1 that my Nana bought for me to share with my brother in 1964. It's so old and lonely I'm thinking of framing it, it's worth more to me that way. :-)

  2. Always nice to start the month with a win. How lovely to live within striking distance of Marriages 😀

    1. Yes, it is - it's very handy and their flour is not only great quality, it is also pretty reasonable, as strong flours go.
