Monday

Morning, everyone. It looks as if it's going to be another nice day today and look what I've just picked . . .

Looking at this just fills me with joy.  I didn't arrange them or anything, it's just how they went in the bowl as I picked them.  Now they're on the window ledge until I use them.

There are runners and chillies ready too - I will collect them later.

I also have Beth's sourdough on the make after the leaven did its duty overnight.

I took the yeast loaf over to Beth yesterday and we had a good old chat.  Apart from that, I just chilled - I did a bit of housework but at some point in the next few days I need to get my act together and my home back in order again.

Today - fingers crossed - my car is being picked up for the MOT and service.  When that's gone, I'm getting the bus into town to ask  Franklin's about giving Mum's sewing machine a service.  I will take their advice on it so fingers crossed.

What are you doing today?  xx

  2. That beef tomato looks delicious - with avocado, and mozzarella and a drizzle of pesto dressing - yummy!!

    1. That does sound nice. I'm giving a few days on the window ledge before deciding how I will deal with it - I quite fancy stuffing it with jazzed up bulgur wheat with tomato sauce (home made) and cheese on top.

  3. I hope that they've actually turned up and collected your car today!! The tomatoes look lovely.

Today I am trying to set up my new laptop. The one I'm on now is running on Windows 10, which won't be freely supported from October and it didn't have the capacity for Windows 11. So Alan offered to buy me a very expensive Christmas present very early. Now all I have to do is figure the thing out ... gosh I hate change!!

  4. Hope your machine can be serviced as they definitely benefit from some talc. I spent nearly an hour today trying to remember how to put the quilting foot onto my machine. It was very clammy and airless and I got a bit hot and bothered by the whole thing. Quilting is all done now and just the binding to make and attach. Catriona

    1. Are you showing a photo on Facebook? The binding is fiddly, I know, especially the corners, but once it's done, how lovely it will be.

It's so frustrating when you can't remember how to do something - and then, when it does work I am cross that I didn't remember sooner. Well done for pushing on through. xx

  5. Lovely selection you managed to harvest. Such pretty colours.
Hopefully Franklins says they can service the machine.

    God bless.
