I managed to get down to Iceland to finally spend my raffle tenner and came back with some SW ready meals and a few other healthy bits. I also went into Home Bargains as I needed a few other bits and bobs too; a few storage boxes and some olives.
Later on I went with Beth to an appointment. She nearly didn't get there; just before it was time to leave, Alex managed to block and flood the loo and it was all panic stations. However, he has come a long way recently and once the immediate flooding was dealt with, he sorted the rest on his own and, as Beth said, when she got back again :
I returned home to a functioning toilet, towels on a boil wash, a scrubbed and shiny floor and bathtub and two emergency plumbers poking around the guttering. Well done Alex. He's even returned the -cleaned- plunger with a nice tub of quality street to our kind neighbours.
Well done, Alex.
On balance, the appointment was productive too so all good.
Today is all home-based stuff. After I have sent this I will be re-emptying the air cupboard for Matt tomorrow and then I'm having a good old sort out, long overdue!
The step count should be good.
Well, better get a move on, hadn't I? Talking about it won't achieve anything. Have a lovely day, everyone. See you tomorrow. xx
That’s great news that Alex managed the emergency and did the clearing up-well done to him. Raining today so I think I may do some crafting. Catriona
ReplyDeleteHe did really well; we were very proud of him.
DeleteIt's not raining here -yet - and it is a fair bit milder so everything Christmassy is now away. The festive season in now definitely over here. So sad. xx
Well done Alex. While my hubby might have got the toilet unplugged the rest would have been waiting for me when I came home from an appointment.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Al was the opposite - he had to get the emergency plumber out but sorted the rest, bless him! xx
DeleteWell done Alex, it's nice when someone unexpectedly really steps up to the mark isn't it. He's obviously coming on in leaps and bounds with his confidence. And to sort the problem out, find professional help at short notice AND tidy up after the event completely is really good.
ReplyDeleteHe really is, Sue, it's great. I think buying the flat with Beth, using his inheritance money helped plus he does voluntary work and they value what he does. xx
DeleteWell done to Alex for dealing with that kind of emergency efficiently.
ReplyDeleteHe did really well. We're really proud of him. xx
