Tuesday

Morning, everyone.  We have more sunshine and it is quite mild.  I think we had a bit of rain overnight but rain isn't forecast so fingers crossed.

I went out in the garden and took a few photos of stuff growing.

The flamenco apple - loads of blossom this year.
The mini-Braeburn just starting to come into blossom.
The hosta.
Mint.
Raspberry canes
Strawberries are coming along nicely after a poor show last year.

And I still haven't got to the allotment and won't be able to start work this week.  I will go over and make a list - lists help such a lot when things seems overwhelming.

I ummed and ahed about going for a swim today but decided the time would be better spent getting totally ready for leaving on Thursday.  I don't want to leave a mess for the house sitter or the cleaner and I hate a last minute packing rush.  There's clothes to wash that I want to take with me too.
Yes, I'll do that.

Have a great day, one and all.  All the best.  xx

  2. Isn't it lovely to see everything greening up and the blossom coming out. Our apple tree is getting it's leaves now and I am hoping that when the blossom opens the frost doesn't come to damage it again. I want more than 3 apples this year :-)

I think taking the time to prepare for your holiday is an excellent way to do it, there's no point in rushing to do too much too late when you don't need to.

  5. It's exciting seeing the blossom ... and also very pretty! Are your raspberries growing in pots?

I keep forgetting to ask ... how are you getting on with the photography course? xx

    1. Yes, the raspberries are in pots and the course has ground top a full stop, sadly. I think it really wasn't for beginners, whatever it said. At least, not for my sort of beginner
I've not dropped it, just deferred, I suppose.

    1. I pick and choose - most of it is looking very post-bulb tatty and will until the end of may which is when I tidy the dying back leaves up. There are some lovely bits though, thanks. xx

  8. Lots of lovely green around! It is starting to come here. Not a lot of it yet, but I can see the tiny beginnings of buds on a few things. The daffodils in the woods are all flowering lovely now.
