Good morning, everyone. I've woken to rain this morning and, from what I can see, all the snow has gone. Yesterday was gloriously sunny, a perfect winter day, but I gather we've had our sunshine for the next few days.
Today was a much better day all round. I'm sure the sunshine helped everyone feel more cheery. I did some washing, a bit of ironing, the cooking (made a really lovely spicy tomato and lentil soup for lunch) and carried on with my reading. I'm halfway through Emma at the moment. I do like revisiting Jane Austen from time to time and always notice something new in her writing.
Today I drive home (no fear of ice or snow today) and then the pace hots up. I will need to look over my planning although I know I have enough material in the folder, it's Knitter Knatter Club at school and then I help out in Foundation Stage. Then it's home for about an hour before tuition. In the evening, I have to make a soup for tomorrow's lunch and then get the guest room ready (which won't take all that long) with the new bedding I bought the other week. I'll tell you why tomorrow!
Better stop - I have to pack, bathe, get dressed and have breakfast before getting on my way. Have a great day and I hope any rain/snow doesn't stop you doing what you need to do.
xx

Absolutely chucking it down here this morning, not nice for driving - safe journey home
ReplyDeleteIt was splashy but not too bad really. Better than ice, I think.

You sound quite busy - luckily the weather is milder and no risk of icy roads. Have a good day. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Viv. Yes, it's a busy day but it will keep me out of trouble! :-)

Well, you'll definitely feel a sense of accomplishment after all of that! Interested to hear what's going on with the guest room...
ReplyDelete:-) THanks, Sue - it all went well, so that was nice.
