Good morning, everyone.
One and a half pounds off at weigh in yesterday. I can live with that!
It was worth making that list yesterday. By the end of the day, everything was ticked off, including a few things that had been waiting to be done for quite a while. I even managed to promise on my now too-large jeans to a friend. Four pairs that are not all that old and still in great condition, just too big now. I'm really glad someone else can use them now.
Today I have the usual Friday morning stuff including getting the siurfaces clear for my cleaner. People smile when I say this but I maintain that I want her to clean, not to spend all the time tidying up after me so it's worth the twenty minutes maximum that it takes to get things ready.
If I don't post anything tomorrow or Sunday, don't worry; I will be back on Monday. In the meanwhile, have a splendid day and stay safe.
Well done on the weight loss. I am losing weight but much slower than you. When I had a cleaner I used to tidy too. I wanted her time ie my money spent on cleaning not moving my stuff. She said mine was the easiest job she had. Have a good ďay.
ReplyDeleteMy mum also tidies up (well, as much as she's able with her very limited mobility) before her cleaner comes....she says she doesn't want her to think she's slovenly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy you must be very pleased with your weight loss and I am pleased for you
ReplyDeleteWell done Joy.
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend goes smoothly and that you manage at least one walk.
A walk always makes me feel less caged and I can sort out my thoughts too.

Well, Lynn and Sooze, my cleaner seems happy to work around me but that's exactly what I want my money to go on too. The tidying up I should do. Anyway, if someone else puts it away, I can never find it! :-)
ReplyDeleteDiane, I'm pleased with how it is going, thank you. We first 'met' on Weight Loss Resources, didn't we, when you did your early morning thread.
Thanks, Sue, I hope I will gat a walk or two as well. I'm taking my walking shoes in hopes.
xx
Congrats on the continuing weight reduction, you're doing so well! I think we met at the Virtual Slimming forum when I learned of your blog. It was my first foray into blog land and you're still the first one I go to!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI was the same with my cleaner but he wouldn't tidy up, just clean around everything. (yes you read right, it was a he and I miss him).
Enjoy your weekend.
Congratulations on your weight loss, Joy. You've inspired me to try again properly so will report my progress monthly over on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI think it was, Annabeth, on good old FirstClass? I've 'known' you a while anyway. Sometimes my cleaner is a 'he' - I use a local company (I know the owners through school) and occasionally someone else will come.
ReplyDeleteEileen, thank you so much. Good luck with youir try again and I'll look forward to your monthly reports.

I wish I could afford a cleaner but have at least managed to afford a gardener this year for the first time in my life so our gardens are tidy and useable and we have been helping to give a hard working young man the opportunity to earn a living.
ReplyDeleteI started a diet just over a week ago for the first time in my life (I'm in my 50s). Since the menopause began I just don't seem able to keep the weight off the way I used to so I've bitten the bullet. Two pounds gone so far! I'm tempted to join a slimming group for support. How do you find it?
I think having a gardener is just as nice as having a cleaner and just as useful too.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the 2lbs off. I have to admit, I am enjoying Slimming World. It's fun and it's nice to have a reason to go out. I know it isn't for everyone but it is suiting me.

Well done on the weight loss - all these 1 to 2lb losses are beginning to add up to a great deal.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend x
full of admiration. I don't have a cleaner now but when I was working did, until the tidying up before she arrived got too much for me and living in a state of permanent chaos seemed the easiest way out!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Viv - they really do add up and time irons out all the bumps. A year and a month ago I would never dared have hoped I would be where I am todaybut I am and moving on grom here as well. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteCaree, thank you. It can be a bit of a nuisance at times but all in all, worth every bit of tidyting up. I know that when I get home, the place will be clean AND tidy. What more can a girl ask?

CONGRATULATIONS on the continuing weight loss, that is absolutely brilliant! Lovely that you were able to pass on the jeans which are too big for you now - such a great feeling. :o)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, hope the weather is kind.
Take great care! Love, S.xxx
