And the camera is now fine. It went through a spell of not talking to the laptop yesterday but that has righted itself now, thankfully.
I had to take this photo - there are so many cucumbers coming on now - they do seem to grow quickly once they are pollinated so by the end of next week I might be able to start picking.
There's also two more tomatoes ripening, both yellow. Things are getting exciting!
Diane turned up for lunch and we had a lovely time catching up. She is such a lovely lady.
Today starts with Groove and later I have another friend popping round for lunch. Like me and Diane, she is watching her weight so I won't be breaking my healthy eating thing.
I ought to do something about my bedroom again. How do bedrooms get so messy and out of sorts so quickly? I know I sleep better in a tidy bedroom so it's worth the effort.
Before I even think about the bedroom, mind, I MUST get to grips with the paperwork for the last governors' meeting of the year tomorrow evening. I won't have much time to do it tomorrow.
So it's a busy-ish day today but, as long as I keep going, it isn't too much at all.
Better go - it is time for the first coffee. Have a lovely day, everyone. Take care and stay safe. xx
After all the hot, sunny weather you've enjoyed, it's hard to believe that you're now having to dry out your bag and shoes. At least your camera is okay, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd now we're braced for another heatwave! You can't beat an English summer :)
I know - ridiculous, isn't it? All's well now though and the soil really did need a thorough soaking.
DeleteMy fans are at the ready - they will be needed by the sound of it! xx
The cucumber tree is impressive,
ReplyDeletewith so many flowers!!
Have a nice day,
I hope you manage to do all the things you plan to do!!
Thanks, Katerina. Things seem to be going well in the garden at the moment. It feels good. xx
DeleteThat cucumber plant is pretty impressive. Nothing nicer than homegrown veg
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cherie. When I think they were the bedraggled remains in B&Q, I am thrilled with the way they have come on. I'm managing them more than I have done in the past, pinching out the suckers and taking off the lower leaves. I didn't know you should do that.
DeleteNow I do. :-) xx
Will you pickle the small cucumbers if you see there will be too many? I had to do the same to my trainers and backpack last Friday after I started walking home from a coffee date and the rain suddenly poured down. I also had to bin my brolly as it blew itself inside out for one time too many. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI could, couldn't I. I will give some away to friends/neighbours as well. Must look up a pickle recipe. xx
DeleteThere’s nothing like growing your own salad crops…so it will be Cucumber sandwiches a plenty, very soon, for you! Enjoy the week., Sal 😁
ReplyDeleteI love cucumber - which is just as well, I think. I can almost see them lengthening in the warm sunshine! xx
DeleteThat was a good idea to hang out your bag and shoes on the line. With the hot weather we seem to be having they must have dried very quickly.
ReplyDeleteTake care in the heat this week x
They did - and were nice and fresh too. I love my washing line. :-) xx
DeleteLook at all those baby cucumbers. I have the same wash line as you and I love it.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They're good, aren't they? You can get so much washing on them - a couple of loads.
DeleteThe babies are rapidly becoming teenagers. :-) I always forget how quickly they grow in good conditions - warmth and water! xx
