Good morning. you lovely lot, and welcome to a cold and frosty Monday morning. No complaints though - the sun is shining and this side of the windows feels nice and warm and cheerful.
One of my commenters yesterday asked about my Slimming World journey and I said I'd find the link to a post I did on my other blog, Slimming World the Mediterranean Way and post it. So here it is:

I have a question and hope some of you can answer, please.
Do any of you use the Wild refillable deodorant sticks? If you do - what are they like. Do they keep you dry and smelling 'nice'?
I'm interested in the concept and would really like to use refillables rather than a spray can that has to be chucked out, so if any of you can advise from your own personal experience, I'd be really grateful.
Thank you.
Yesterday was a bit of a nothing day. I did some washing and dried it on my rack which nearly fell apart. It's really very old now, possibly about thirty years old, so I decided to order a new one from Amazon. I use the rack several times a week at the moment so am counting it a need.
Shame it's now about five times what I originally paid for it but that's life!!
Today, right now, the decorators are here and I'm whizzing through this to get it done before I go out for Circuits. Apologies for any typos . . .
Have a lovely day, everyone, and stay warm and safe. xx
I’d be interested in the answer to the deodorant query too, Joy. The ironing is calling me and also need to clean the bathrooms-excitement knows no bounds! Catriona
ReplyDeleteLucky you!
DeleteThe sun is pleasant but I bet my load on the line won't completely dry, all the same - it's warm inside but not out. xx
I'm so glad you're getting some sunshine today, Joy. It's overcast here, but it doesn't make any difference, as I'm spending the day getting lots of little jobs done.
ReplyDeleteI'd be curious to find out about the deodorant, myself. I've seen a lot of influencers advertising it on Instagram, which has the opposite affect on me, and makes me think it might not be as good as it seems :)
Yes - exactly. It has that effect on me too. xx
DeleteBoots sell the refills to these. Have a look at Boots online as you can read the reviews.
ReplyDeletePauline
Thank you so much. I thought you could only get them through the company - I will take a look at those online reviews which are more likely to be impartial that any on their own site, I should think. xx
DeleteI use Wild. I like them, they work well for me, but I'm not doing anything that would get me really sweaty... they stand up to the demands of my general life and the daily yoga quite well. There is a similar product, Fussy which is supported by Deborah Meadon from Dragon's Den and also gets good reviews. I haven't tried it but the costs are about the so I'm wondering about doing a comparison.
ReplyDeleteDeborah Meadon is nobody's fool and if she supports it, that's a plus for me. I think I need to do my research, thank you very much. xx
DeleteI used the Wild deodorant for about a month (I got mine from Booths, which also sells the refills). At first I was great with it, but I have very sensitive skin even under my armpits, so after a while using it I started getting very itchy so I've switched back to my usual unscented Mitchum 48 hours which I never have a problem with. As for does it work smell-wise, I think so. I have no sense of smell but then no body complained ... mind you it is the cooler days of Winter and I have never been a sweaty person and I can't do workouts at all. I will give it another go as I think there's quite a bit left in the dispenser thingy. Hope that helps in some way.
ReplyDeleteI have never used aerosols after doing a whole thesis on their use and effects on both the environment and the lungs. So it has to be some kind of 'roll-on' for me.
Thanks, Sue. I tend not to sweat, even in warm weather or workouts - I just 'glow'!
DeleteThe reviews on the Boots site are very varied - I need to ponder more, I think. xx
Thank you so much for the link . There is so much great information there!
ReplyDeleteI need to lose weight for health reasons and I got some much needed motivation from your blog! Marilyn
Thanks very much, Marilyn. I'm glad it is of help and good luck with your own 'journey' Do follow and comment, if you want. xx
DeleteI would also suggest a roll-on as I consider them the most convenient product.
ReplyDeleteAlso here on Monday morning it's freezing!!
Have a nice week!!
Thanks, Katerina.
DeleteI hope you have been able to stay warm today. xx
I've tried every deodorant known to woman, but did draw the line at spray ones. I've tried the Wild one, but it didn't keep me dry or smell free. Everytime I go back to Mitchum roll on but the unperfumed one. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gill - that's helpful. I've heard a lot of good things about the Mitchum roll on. xx
DeleteI am not sure if we have Wild here in Canada. At least I have never seen it. Must do some research as having something one could refill would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's a really good idea, isn't it? I see from their site that they do refillable lip balms and hand washes too. Quite an initial outlay but better if you're in it for the longer term. xx
