I now have a much happier nose!
I know Specsavers always say that if there's a problem just pop in so I did. They were busy and I had to wait my turn so just under half an hour later I walked out all sorted, instant relief, no charge and 'would I like the blu tac back?', lol. No, I didn't and we both laughed, me and the lady sorting it for me.

I did a bit of wandering around in town but when it came to it, I didn't eat out. I did look in the M&S cafe but there was a queue and it was slow moving so I didn't. Instead, I treated myself to an M&S pizza, garlic bread and a bit of alcohol - a bit naughty as I had gained on the SW scales but you have to have a treat now and again, don't you?
The rest of the day passed in a blur of snoozing, reading, crochet, snooze . . it has been a busy old week and I think it was just the reaction because I slept well all night too.
This weekend the diary is blank - lovely! Of course, I have things to do including a bit of extra governor training relating to something that's coming up before half term. I don't HAVE to do it but I OUGHT to, if you see what I mean. It will help.
Are you doing anything nice this weekend. Going away, out, something special? Whatever you do, have a great time and stay safe and well. xx
I’m looking forward to my sister staying a few days next week, we’ll have a couple of outings and some treats.
ReplyDeleteToday just routines in between yarny stuff ☺️

That sounds really lovely! Hope you have the best time with your sister. xx
DeleteHello from Canada. This weekend is Thanksgiving holiday Monday. I will be busy with family to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely - Happy Thanksgiving Holiday to you and have a wonderful family time. It makes a nice long weekend, doesn't it? xx
DeleteYesterday four of us went to a big garden centre after KnitterNatter to have lunch and I wanted some bulb, I bought six packs of various Narcissi. We went because I had a 'birthday treat' from the garden centre for 20% off if you spend a minimum of £12 per person, because it's my birthday month. We all enjoyed the lunch, just a main course, and when it was time to leave I couldn't find my handbag. I then remembered that I very stupidly left it in the loo when we arrived. To cut a long story short, it was found by one of the waiting staff and she kept it safe in their office, everything was still there. Phew!!!
ReplyDeleteHeartwarming, there a still good people around! xx
Happy Birthday to you, Annabeth, whenever it is. Narcissi are such beautiful flowers and so fragrant too.
DeleteThank goodness your bag was found thanks to an honest member of staff - it is such a horrible feeling when you realise it is lost. xx
The schools are now on holiday for a week so we won’t be going anywhere until they are back! I had my hair cut on Thursday and then did a mahoosive shop this morning. Spent the rest of the day preparing cards for Tuesday. Hope to empty the pots but we have intermittent rain. Enjoy your day of leisure tomorrow.Catriona
ReplyDeleteOf course - you are two weeks ahead of England with school holidays so places will be teeming. Having a hair cut always makes me feel so much better and knowing the cupboards are well stocked is such a comfort. xx
DeleteIt is Thanksgiving here this weekend so the inevitable over-consumption of tasty food. All I have to prepare are the roast potatoes for the Sunday lunch and cole slaw for the pot luck at the tennis club.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely when people come together and share food. Have a wonderful time. xx
