Friday, 16-01-26

Morning, everyone.  It is warm and I have enjoyed a bath followed by a shower to wash my hair.  Yes, both, just this once.  It was absolute bliss.  And I have warm fingers.  The smallest pleasures are the most important.

Now I have to get used to new controls.  Matt went through it all with me so fingers crossed.

The weather was dreadful yesterday so I cancelled the demo which was a real shame because it was one I wanted to go to.  Matt did need to discuss a few things so perhaps it was just as well.
I went over to Chris' for our coffee and chat and warmed up there first thing.  That was really lovely.

Today I have Slimming World and then I am meeting Alex in town.  He's treating his old Nan to lunch at the Giggling Squid.  It will be lovely, won't it?

And I'm in a bit of a rush so need to send and go.  Have a lovely Friday and stay warm and dry.  xx

    What luxury, a warm bath! I don't get on with our new heating controls at all, too complicated for me...so I leave it to DH. I preferred the old dial on the wall to turn up or down as required If we want extra periods of heat now during the colder spells we have to put it onto 'party' mode and it shows a champagne glass on the screen with a cocktail stick in it...I. still don't get the connection, but it is a German controller so maybe they do things differently over there and have lots of parties in the winter! X

      It was absolute bliss. I think I understand the basics of how to set the boiler and the thermostat. I love the idea of Party mode! Chink chink! Cheers! xx

    Oh the joy of hot water, sometimes it's good to have to 'rough it' for a while, then you appreciate what you have all the more. The Giggling Squid is a unique name. We have a lovely little coffee and cake café called The Velvet Carrot, another brilliant name.
