Morning, everyone. Welcome to Monday and I hope you had a lovely weekend. It's turned quite a bit colder here, cold enough for me to get out my lovely electric fleece - much more economical than turning up the heating and twice as effective!
On the Fourth Day of Christmas
I gave unto myself . . .
two smelly soaps
one reed diffuser
warm, fluffy socks
and a Jamie Oliver book
The soaps are the floral fragrances I love so much - English rose and lavender. Good timing too as I always use bar soap in bath and shower and I was nearly out.
I didn't do a lot yesterday; this virus isn't leaving easily at all which is a right nuisance.
I did get to Beth's with the loaf and stayed for a coffee and quick chat.
Today is housework day, of course. I will do it in dribs and drabs through the day so by the end of the day it will all be done. To be fair, apart from some tidying up (including that yarn), it really isn't so bad.
I think I need a Little List so . . .
housework
yarn away
break up jigsaw puzzle
put away decorations on dresser
maybe sort out and list contents of a couple of freezer bags
That'll do!
Are you a Twelfth Nighter like me or do you like to get everything away again after Boxing Day?
Have a lovely day, everyone. Stay warm and keep well. See you tomorrow. xx

You are always so cheerful which makes for an uplifting read in the mornings! Does anything ever get you down?😊 Jan
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely thing to say, thank you.
DeleteYes, I do get down about things but I tend to keep that to myself mostly, with maybe just a hint now and again. It works better for me . . . xx
I only had my crib figures out on the table, no other decorations, so not much to do. My two cats have decided to lay amongth them and in doing so have scattered them around the table so it has not looked too much like a Nativity scene! I didn't hang the cards up but kept them on the table too and they have been knocked to the floor by the cats! The rest of the house is as per normal and Christmas basically passed me by, which is ok. Have a lovely day Joy and take it easy. Rachel x
ReplyDeleteLooking at my clutter, your way sounds wonderful! lol I'm not a cat person but my daughter is and I know cats get everywhere - they own all the space and anything else is only there because they allow it to be. :-) xx
DeleteI agree with Jan, you defiantly live up to your name Joy! Joyful to read your blog in the mornings with a cup of coffee. It’s like sitting at the kitchen table and having a chat. Thank you. June xx
