Yesterday went pretty much according to plan. A really good Slimming World that was really buzzing and loads of people stayed for the second half. Once home, I did this, that and the other- bit of washing, bit of sorting (not as much as I'd planned though), bit of meal planning, quite a lot of knitting and reading. Just a nice day really.
For the first time in a while, the diary today is completely blank so I've checked the weather forecast which says cold but dry and I think I will do some garden stuff, back permitting. I have some washing to do too and I will dry that inside as it won't dry on the line and might get in the way.
And then I will come in, warm up under the electric fleece and watch rubbish on the telly!
Sounds a good plan to me!
Do you have regular Saturday stuff to do or can you hang free, as they say?

Have a great day, stay warm and be safe and well. xx
A blank diary is always a treat, even if sometimes it can feel quite disconcerting :)
ReplyDeleteI just need to get some shopping in this afternoon, which I will probably do while Lily is having her tennis lesson.
I don't know about you, Joy, but I can't wait to hang my washing outdoors again. I'm fed up of seeing it hung on the airer, even if it's in the spare room. Xx
Oh, me too. I love the freshness of clothes dried on the line in a sunny breeze. There's no comparison.
DeleteGood luck with the shopping - wishing you some bargains and special offers. :-) xx
I’m going to spend today learning my new overlocker I hope. The washing machine and drier are on as I am way behind with everything but gradually feeling stronger after the lurgy. You would see that we had our day out yesterday but I was shattered when we came home. Catriona
ReplyDeleteExciting re the overlocker, perhaps not so much re the washing but it has to be done, doesn't it? You have reminded me to get mine out of the machine and on to the drying rack! xx
DeleteThe bit about being warm and watching rubbish sounds appealing for a dull, damp Saturday!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely - it took me ages to warm up again after the gardening though. xx
DeleteSounds as if you gave yourself a very pleasant day!
ReplyDeleteWe don’t do much on a Saturday and usually start the day with James Martin’s Saturday Kitchen… and a leisurely breakfast! There’s often football on the telly (which we both enjoy!) and I usually do a ploughman’s lunch. Simple stuff really! Have a lovely weekend whatever you do! 😁
I'm not that fond of James Martin - I don't know why, he just gets on my nerves a bit. Silly, really.
DeleteYour simple day sounds lovely. xx
Time was when I didn’t like a blank diary. Nowadays I love it and agree with Jules that it’s a treat!
ReplyDeleteMy weekend is totally clear so today I had a lie-in, did some ironing and then crocheted whilst I watched the snooker. Happy days!
Oh, lovely! That sounds so nice and restful. xx
DeleteI do have some things that I need to do every Saturday, but not like when I worked thank heavens. It is just enough for a couple of hours in the morning, and then I get to play with things that are a bit more on the fun side.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Getting everything fitted in plus full time work is very challenging, isn't it? To be honest, I don't know how people do it - there must be compromises from time to time, one way or another. xx
