Good morning again from my short break at Center Parcs. We're being very lucky with the weather this week; apart from Monday's downpour, it's been quite sunny and warm without being too hot. Really pleasant.
The biggie for yesterday was how very pleasant Center Parcs staff are.
I went down to the Guest Centre where you can book stuff, ask questions, etc, because Beth has some online staff training on Friday and it will stray over into the time we are supposed to be leaving the lodge. No, problem, we can stay in another half hour or so, they will let the cleaning team know. All with smiles and good wishes.
Later on, Alex obviously went there to ask something. We don't know what actually happened - nothing bad, according to Alex who was just as surprised as we were - but later on in the afternoon, Beth and I arrived home from a walk to find a card and a little package addressed to 'Mr Alexander Clark'. The package was chocolate bark and the card read:
Dear Alexander
We hope you are having a wonderful time at Elveden Forest
Please come and see us at Guest Services as we would like to book a complimentary activity for you
From the Guest Services.
And then their names - Maria, Sarah, Johnny, Amanda, Sam and Sue (all with smiley faces)
So down we went and we are now all booked for a bowling session this morning, completely free. Wasn't that fantastic. We are baffled as to why but no arguments from us!
I guess there's no chance at all that any of them will ever read this but, to Maria, Sarah, Johnny, Amanda, Sam and Sue - thank you very, very much indeed. You have made us very happy and you are a credit to Center Parcs.
So it's a very big thumbs up to Center Parcs from us this week.
In other news, we went on the lake in an electric boat (no noise, no effort), pictures below, we had pancakes for lunch (still recovering from the sugar high) and Beth and I went for a stroll around the village while Alex went for a swim. I'm afraid I slept the evening away (between sweets - ooops)
Here's a few photos.
Today I am hoping to do a Lindsey online SET class via my laptop, we have bowling this morning, a walk and a swim this afternoon, a dinner courtesy of Huck's American Diner delivery and, sadly, we have to pack and make sure we haven't made too much mess because today is out last full day here. Sad. . .
I'm just looking out of the window and there's the muntjac and several squirrels, all seeking out the chestnuts that have fallen in the night. Lovely!
xx
It sounds as if they know how to treat their customers. x x
ReplyDeleteThey really do. And we have another story to tell on Saturday's blog. The C P staff are wonderful they really are. xx
DeleteLooks lovely. Since I have no blog, and even though I sign in at Google, I still cannot get to Sooze’s blog to respond. At least now I can read it.
ReplyDeleteThat's good anyway. Blogger can be very frustrating at times, can't it? xx
DeleteBrenda above
