Friday, 02-09-22

Good morning, everyone.  It's still pretty gloomy outside and hard to tell what it will become so I checked the Beeb weather and it is more 'sunny intervals and a moderate breeze' today.  Nice.

That was what it was like yesterday at Markshall Estate.  We strolled along the stream/river (when does a stream become a river?) to the walled garden where there was a big exhibition of outside sculpture with works scattered through the large walled garden.
There was some lovely stuff and some - er - not so lovely stuff and at a few points I was sorely tempted - until I saw the prices.
I took photos - here's a few.

It was great to catch up with Val and we had a lovely time - at least I did and I assume she did too.  We had some lunch there before returning home.

We won't be able to meet up until October now because of her holiday and then mine but we have decided that in October we will visit Hobbycraft and they have lunch at Itsu.  Nice.

Today is Slimming World group and weigh in.  After that, I am popping into town to pick up some fresh eggs.
Then I will be preparing dinner as Dave and Anna are round after having to postpone twice.  Pretty much everything is ready as I shoved it in the freezer when they first had to postpone so there's not loads to do.  It'll be nice to see them again - it's been a while.

Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy your life.  xx

  1. I was very interested to see the stag, my landlord has a collection of similar animals in his garden. A stag and a doe, a gorilla, a donkey and so.e others I cannot remember.

  4. I absolutely adore walled gardens. If I should ever be left a lot of money that would be my dream.

    1. Me too, Cherie, that's why I have a half wall. A full one was just too expensive. Maybe, one day, I will have the garden completely redesigned (and pigs might fly!!)
