Good morning. It feels rather chilly this morning but the sun is shining so maybe it will warm up a bit.
I had some fun trying out layering yesterday.
I'm also pleased to say that I've managed to change the camera's recording format to .mp4. Like a lot of tech, the lesson is - read the manual! However, I didn't change it until I had recorded the clips for today's garden update so I still had to change the extensions for the clips. It seems weird that changing three letters makes a recording acceptable but there you go! Ours is not to reason why!
What I'm not so pleased about is how tatty my garden looks! In fact, I'm thoroughly ashamed of it, to be honest. I really haven't given it the time it deserves this year and when I get back I'm going to focus on sorting things out. It didn't help that Race London was going on one garden away and the neighbors each side were doing noisy things in their back gardens!
Note to self - find out how to edit audio.
I should call this 'Practising layering' really!
Clever thing you. I'm really impressed at your videography. I downloaded that program yesterday so want to have a play with it this week some time. Have a lovely time at Potter's.
ReplyDeleteI'm rather enjoying playing with it. While I'm away, I'll have the freebie that I have on my laptop so it will be interesting to see what the differences are. xx
DeleteYou are really getting good at this. I'm afraid it doesn't interest me enough to play around with things. Photography is one thing, but I'll leave the filming to the experts ... and YOU :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your time at Potters.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eileen. It has started well. xx
DeleteVery impressed with your videography Joy. The clematis is lovely and I can see that you have some juicy red strawberies on their way. Enjoy your short break at Potters.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do - Beth will have a few this week but there will be some for me too. They really are delicious.
DeleteGood video, I've never tried with my camera.. our garden is looking good, photos coming soon.. Enjoy your Potters weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely garden, don't you? I really look forward to seeing some photos. xx
DeleteLittle Pete is growing!
ReplyDeleteHe really is, Debbie. He no longer looks like a runt. Yes, he's small and probably always will be but he's not a scrap or a waif any more. Great testimony to Beth's care. xx
DeleteIt's wonderful that you are still venturing far and wide in your car. People here are really cutting back on trips because of the price of gasoline. My daughter's commute to work is costing over $100 a week!
ReplyDeleteIt is shocking, isn't it. Dreadfully expensive. One tends not to include petrol expenses when costing a holiday but really it is a significant amount. I feel for your daughter.
Deletexx
What a great video. And if that is a tatty garden, you are not going to see mine ever, as fast as I weed and tidy, more weeds pop up.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Years and tears of weeding! And they still come, they never give up, do they!
DeleteThere's a lot of gaps, I'm afraid. I'm not growing runner beans this year so where I always put them is gappy and, because of these breaks, I haven't potted any tomatoes or cucumbers yet. That is a task for next week! xx
I think your garden looks lovely and I'm enjoying your videos - I wouldn't know where to start! My garden is looking ever so messy at the moment. The wild flowers haven't begun to flower yet and it looks like last years cornflowers have self seeded into the path. Time for some weeding I think. X
ReplyDeleteI think your garden looks lovely. Mine is looking messy at the moment. It's time for me to do some weeding. Xx
ReplyDeleteI guess it isn't the weeds, It's not so bad for weeds. It just looks quite scrappy. I need to think carefully about how I actually want it to look, I think. xx
