Morning, everyone. This will be a short one as there really isn't much to write about. We have another hard frost this morning but the sun is shining brightly and it all looks lovely!
I didn't do much yesterday except potter in the house. It was a bit too cold for sitting out but Beeb indicates that the temperatures will be picking up again very soon so that's great.
Beth and I have planned an online chat this afternoon but that depends on whether she is awake and weather her cough allows her to talk much or not. She's definitely over the worst, I hope, but remains poorly. She's going to test today but I can't see it being negative yet. Alex, thankfully, remains negative.
Thank you all very much for your concern for her and kind wishes. They are much appreciated.
Well - I have a dishwasher to empty and some ironing to put away, not to mention the day's meals to prepare and various Facebook duties to perform so I will close this now. Have a super Sunday, stay warm and enjoy the sunshine (I'm hoping you have sunshine).
Yep we have sunshine but it's chilly! Glad Beth is over the worst and that Alex has managed to avoid it. Hope it stays that way xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, me too, thank you - definitely fingers crossed. :-)
Deletexx
Still freezing here although lovely and sunny. Glad to hear that Beth is on the mend hope it doesn't take too long for her to be back to normal
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane. Me too. xx
DeleteBright sunshine here as well but bitterly cold ... too cold to want to be outside!
ReplyDeleteHope that Beth is feeling more herself before too long and that Alex continued to stay well.
I'm looking forward to a pleasant afternoon looking through plant catalogues and maybe choosing some of this year's plants. Hope you have a lovely day and that Beth is well enough to chat xx
Thanks, Eileen. Have a lovely time choosing plants this afternoon. xx
DeleteHugs and continued healing wishes for Beth. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Marjorie. xx
DeleteHope Beth is getting better, such a worry for you. Sunny and a chilly breeze here.. maybe I'll see you on FB? It has my full name, Christine Harris Hancock.
ReplyDeleteDitto here although when the sun went in, I turned the heating up a bit as it felt really chilly. Amazing how much warmth there is in sunshine through glass.
DeleteI'll see if I can find you and invite . . . xx
Invited. xx
DeleteSame here is the middle of the USA. We are usually warmer here by now but it has been an unusually long and cold winter. I hope Beth continues to recover, it seems to have hit her quite hard. Good that Alex has remained healthy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maureen. We've actually had quite a mild winter overall but this last week has been unseasonably cold for the time of year. Tomorrow is supposed to be much warmer (and wet, sadly). xx
DeleteIt's been a gorgeous day here today. Proper gardening weather. How's Beth this evening?
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon she didn't feel great - a bit dizzy and unwell when we had out chat - but loads better than a couple of days ago. xx
DeleteI do hope Beth feels better soon. Hope you had a lovely, relaxing day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sharon, and I did, very much. The same to you too. xx
DeleteHope Beth is restored to full health soon.
ReplyDeleteI finally tested negative on the ninth day and on each of the following couple of days, so I was finally able to fly back to the US on Saturday (couldn't get back in w/o an observed, negative test which I did online Friday). I was fortunate that my symptoms were mild and only lasted a few of those days, but I did stay isolated until I had two negative tests. So, ten days in my hotel room. Finally popped out for a visit to V&A on Friday (did sculptures and jewelry areas this time). Leg brace still slowing me down, so only manated a few hours. But still, very grateful. Had wheelchair assistance at both airports which made the transit manageable. Now I just have to learn to sleep beyond 2 a.m. ;)
