Tuesday

Good morning, everyone.  It's yet another gorgeously sunny morning although it doesn't feel any too warm yet but I don't care about that.  It will warm up later and wall-to-wall sunshine is lovely.  If it's like yesterday, I will be happy.

The bath arrived yesterday and it is titchy!  I'm not sorry, that's what I wanted but I kept thinking thank goodness I lost all that weight!  Mind you, if I hadn't, I wouldn't be getting such a small bath, would I?  It will make for a great saving in hot water, that's for sure.  However, it still has a nice ledge for me to prop the current book, magazine or Kindle!

Yesterday was extremely noisy, Sooze!  Hammer, hammer, bang, bang all morning.  Probably afternoon too, but I was out at school.  Getting there though.  Matt said that today he will shart getting some of the furniture up and in which sounds great to me.

Today, apart from tuition, I have a blank diary.  I will go swimming early, in the time between workers and Mums and the day traffic, when most people are either getting to work of taking the milk run!  I'm very glad that this has got me back in the swimming way again, I do enjoy some ups and downs the pool, working things out in my own mind while the lovely hot shower is absolute bliss!

After that - well, the usual.  I'll change the bed and wash the sheets, get the meals sorted, do some knitting, look over my paper patterns, plan tonight's tuition and generally have a good day.  I Matt hadn't been here, I might have considered a trip out but not at the moment.

I hope you have a good day too. xx

  2. You have my heartfelt sympathy, Joy! At least our noise isn't in our house - although it might just as well be, it's so loud and makes the walls vibrate. The workman was using a power drill all day yesterday, only for a minute or 2 at a time but it went on literally all day - well, until just after lunch when we escaped to the beach for a couple of hours.

I'd quite happily have our bath with shower over taken out and a walk in shower installed instead, if the landlord would agree to it (he won't, we asked him). We never have baths, much preferring showers - in any case, if I sat down in the bath I'd most likely have to be hauled up out of it again!

    1. I'm the opposiute. I love my baths, always have done, and when it came to making a decision, I went for that. The good thing is that if, in the future, I ever feel I can't manage the bath, the space is just right for a decent sized walk in shower instead, without needing to replace anything else (except for tiles/flooring, of course.

  3. Sounds like your bathroom is coming along nicely, Joy! We have done renovation in all three of our houses over the years and I definitely understand the dislike of the hammering sounds! It will be wonderful, though, when it is all done! Hope your swim was wonderful and your day goes well!

    1. It will be great. It'll be nice to have some storage in the bathroom as well - everywhere should look much bigger because there won't be any clutter. I might even splash out on a few plants - how's that for spoiling myself!
