The Last Day

So here we are at the Last Day of Streele Farm.  It's a very, very sad morning for me, but the sun is shining brightly as if to say 'there are other lovely places in this beautiful country'.  And there are - I'm holding on to that - but right at this moment there's a lump in my throat that is threatening to choke me and the tears are not so far away. .  .

Goodbye, dear Streele Farm . . .

  2. No, this was the last time - we had decided this a while ago. We've been seven times now and it is beautiful home from home. I do tend to get attached to places . . .

  3. That's brave of you. But, there comes a time to make changes. Glad you had a restorative, restful break there once more. Jx

  5. Yes, I can well imagine that it must have been heart-wrenching knowing that it was your last time at Streele Farm - you have spent such lovely times there with your family and it is such a beautiful place... I can understand your becoming attached to places, I am the same strangely, despite the fact we move around such a lot. Hope you are gradually feeling better about it and I am glad that you have such lovely memories (and photographs) to look back on..

  6. Thank you for understanding, Joan and Sonja. I'm feeling better about it now and I have so many lovely photographs to enjoy that I won't ever forget it. We've been so very lucky to have had the opportunities.
