It has to stop soon, surely. Such a worry for people who live in areas that flood easily and very unpleasant for those with outdoor jobs - postmen, for example, or the dustmen (which includes women too, of course).
Chris dodged the raindrops over to my house yesterday morning and we had a nice, cosy chat about this, that and the other. I so enjoy these times - if, for some reason, we can't make it, we usually chat online, like we did during lockdown. There's good and there's bad about the Internet but being able to chat online is definitely good.
After breakfast (spiced apple waffles, yummy), I drove round the corner to Morrisons (wasn't going to walk in that rain) and, for once, did quite a small shop. Now I am topped up with rinse aid and washing liquid plus sundry bits and bobs. Hopefully, I won't need to do a top up shop until next weekend!
That was it really. The rest of the day was spent inside, cooking, eating, crochet, reading, etc, and the curtains got drawn early! And I may possibly have had an afternoon snooze!
Today is the usual Friday routine. Slimming World and, fingers crossed, Alex. No need to prep anything as it was all prepped last Friday.
Right, well, better go. I want to check the bank account (I try to check daily, to keep on top of things) and then get things together for the day.
Stay dry, everyone. Have a lovely Friday. xx

Raining again here too, the grass is like a very wet sponge. To cheer us up I’ve done homemade chips in the air fryer ,we’ve been having a lot of veggie soups but today felt like a treat was needed . I’m a great fan of a little afternoon nap too and the crochet will be coming out later 😀

It feels so very dreary at the moment. Chips sounds a great remedy though - delicious chips! xx
DeleteCold and damp here but we’re emptying the big dresser ready for its move out to the garage for a few weeks. We’re being ruthless and that includes my craft supplies that are in there! Stopped now for an early lunch before I get on with some craft prep for Tuesday. Catriona
ReplyDeleteOh, my - craft supplies too. That much hurt a bit. xx
DeleteYou have constant rain, I have snow and more snow today. Today!!!!, almost everyday this winter. A sewing day for me, I am making four placemats for a friend who invites me to dinner, but will not let me bring anything to add to the table,
ReplyDeleteStay dry and I will keep warm
What a lovely way to thank someone. Lucky friend. xx
DeleteIt sound like you had a nice day despite the inclement weather. If you could send some my way that would be lovely. We haven't had any rain in 2 1/2 months.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could. You'd be more than welcome to it. ten weeks or so sounds very difficult the other way - a happy medium is what's needed - in almost everything, to be honest! xx
DeleteAfter a beautiful day of sunshine yesterday, we are covered in clouds once again. And it is a tiny bit cooler. Hope the sun comes out again tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Wishing sun for you. We feel so much more cheery in sun. xx
DeleteI do hope the rain stops and you have a few dry days!
ReplyDelete:-) Thanks, Sharon. It has to happen sometime soon, doesn't it? xx
