After looking up some videos, I have decided to - and started - doing a spike stitch border. As Catriona said, it will go very nicely with the Maple leaf style.
Having said that, I now don't like the rows of dc I did round before deciding so I am going to frog what I have done and start again. Annoying but I should have thought more sensibly.

Today starts with Groove and, for once, there's no decision to be made as to whether we walk there or drive. There's no way we want to walk in the pouring rain.
Then Kay comes (fingers crossed) and I will work upstairs (yesterday was crochet over housework, every time!) and then the rest of the day is my own. I will need early bed tonight as tomorrow is an early start so if this doesn't appear until a bit later, that's why.
I managed to remember to take a few snowdrop photos. The light wasn't great but usually the white doesn't photo well so I'm pleased with them in my own simple way!
It'll be daffodils soon, won't it? When we went on our walk two Saturdays ago, they were already out in Tower Gardens. Beautiful.
Better get going. Wishing you all a warm, safe and happy day, wherever you are.
Bye! xx

Beautiful snowdrops-ours aren’t as far on as that yet. Happy crocheting! Catriona
ReplyDeleteThey often are, generally speaking, I think. The back garden is quiye sheltered.
DeleteCrochet has been frustrating. I have to think the border again - Spike stitch just doesn't work; it's too 'baggy' and I'm only using a size 3 hook anyway so don't want to go smaller. xx
We are just coming out of the deep freeze and the warmer temperatures do mean snow will probably be happening. Not as bad as Eastern Canada and the U.S. thank heavens.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank goodness for that and I hope it neither too long nor too deep. xx
DeleteI am so jealous of the snowdrops! It's been cold and snowing for days here. The roads are horrible - we've been playing a game of Are we on the road? and Is this the road? I can't wait until spring!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds unpleasant - and risky. But what can one do - we have to get out sometimes. I hope conditions improve soon for you. xx
DeleteIt's good to see the snowdrops and I'm looking forward to seeing daffodils in February. Before we know it, Spring will be here. 😊
ReplyDeleteThe very thought of it lifts my heart. I'm loving that the bulb leaves are growing so quickly now. xx
